Not sure why ET renewed its interest, but there's another change coming with more gens. Still no updates to show off the actions of many unused / less used gens in the recruitment centre like Herod and a few Gallic / Germanic commanders. Apologies for the low quality images. YouTube on Mobile doesn't allow for text to be copied so I took screenshots.

The update is out. The 4 new generals are good but nowhere near great. None of them can impose a serious challenge onto the top F2P generals.

Apparently it is out on IOS. Still there isn't any update on Android.

Update is out on Android. The new feature is just a variation of EW5/GCS daily missions. 3 out of 4 new generals are f2p. It is probably was created to attract new players to the game.

There is a bug apparently... I unlocked Gaelius who is supposed to be a p2w general. Not that I need him much anyway.

You know, even if the new generals aren't that amazing - free gens are still free gens
They seem solid enough to give a good boost to players just starting out in GCR, so I'm not complaining!

Bug or not - Gaelus is a capable Infantry general and it is possible to get 3 good generals immidietly on day one. Skipping Pacorus, Trebonius and co. altogether and postponing purchase of Pompey. The question remains whether other new generals are able to have an impact on early/mid game.

The question remains whether other new generals are able to have an impact on early/mid game. Caelus and Faustus yes, but Marcus and Titus probably come too late as early mid game generals. You need 6 generals for Marcus, at least 3 of which have to be purchased. One of them will be Mithridates and the other one very likely Belisarius. The question is who should be the third.

Faustus comes on day 3 or 4 (depending on how often a player sends his generals on missions).

Nice update to colect more items and nice 4 generals, I think now have for free 3rd generals in every land slot and maybe 1st one as navy. So maybe now we dont need to buy, or someone can sell: Drusus, Paco and Bato.
+ 10 pure metal(this is like 2or3 item upgrade to 2 lvl and augustus helmet and others bonus are nice for collecting.

It is actually interesting to note that a special unit of Gaelus is Heavy Infantry, not Legionary. That makes him the best Roman Heavy Infantry Commander, and still holds the place for Pompey as Legionary Commander, but I have some reservations on prospects of new generals in the Epic war scenarios. It is interesting to try it out though. Not yet sure about special units of the two remaining generals.
