About infantry generals,. I oopsed. Accidentally, picked up Rundstedt while saving for Yamashita. Smh. Any suggestions? Keep him, don't return. I chose Rundstedt even when I could afford Yamashita. Aside from the price, Rundstedt has a maximum potential of 5 air stars. Besides street fighting is not that different from bayonet charge. You can put him in cities to heal while giving some air supports and eradicating some spams around him with street fighting.

Yes!! Thank you! I try to put a couple of stars in Airforce on each of my generals just to have them still be useful while they're healing. Strangely enough most of the time I get a "waste of medals" response to this idea.

This here appears to be the greatest debate ever. Some people can't stand infantry generals. I use them alot. I take care of armored generals with air, artillery and my own armored generals... in that order.
Infantry generals are for anything else.

On my first and better playthrough, I am at 1100 medals now. I am eyeing Kuznetsov and Rundstedt, which one should I get? I have Rundstedt at full discount, at WTO3 and NATO5.

It depends on what the rest of your roster looks like... Rundstedt is a solid infantryman with room to be customized a little because of the two open skill slots and open stars in air and movement.... Kuznetsov is probably about the cheapest navy general you can afford. Look at de Gaulle before making up your mind.... he doesn't have the potential Rundstedt has but he can fill more roles than Kuznetsov.... until you can save up for the big guns. It's worth considering.

Thing is, I don't need another artillery general, I have Konev and Leeb what is your current lineup? if you already have a Navy gen (Nimitz or Donitz), you can skip Kuznetsov. If you dont have any Navy gen, buy Kuz. Runstedt and any Inf. Gen is not really necessary for campaign. For cold war era, at least you need 2 Tank and 2 Arty Gen, and 1 Navy, if you already had the necessaey line up, try upgrade your gen, or buy wonder that increase your daily medal sorces (Great Pyramid, City of Djenne, Great Wall, and Red Fort).

After 3 months I am back for more advice. Now, on the doorstep of Modern War, I have Messe, Leeb, Vatutin, Guderian, Konev, Rundstedt, Nimitz, Arnold, Rommel, and 500 medals. Should I upgrade the current generals or get another one?

Should I upgrade the current generals or get another one? Your lineup is good enough to conquer the modern war on normal. No need to add another gen for now, save your medal to upgrade your gen. Sell Messe & Vatutin to buy Roko. Upgrade each gen's "main" skill, especially Guderian & Konev. Add rumor on some of them. Here's the upgrade priority - max Guderian & Konev - Upgrade Rommel's AA & Rumor (at least lvl 3) - Upgrade Leeb & Nimitz rumor 1st - for Arnold and Rundstedt, leave them unupgraded. Only Arnold rumor that will be useful in campaign.

He already has Rundstedt (which is probably 1 more than the necessary number of infantry generals), so obviously not McArthur. The idea of Graziani being superior to Rokko is nothing but silly. Rokko moves faster and damages more; there is nothing else in this game more important.

Graziani regenerates health, but Rokko never needs more in the first place because he captures cities much faster.
