I have a tank named "Altay" and when I made this tank I copied pasted the textures of Medium tank [in def_motion], only I changed the motion name to Altay. Yesterday I saw your video tutorial, and I tried to make, I added the texture of Altay tank and when I want to change the textures on def_motion it doesn't work. When I'm in game, when I want to select the tank section [recruit] the game crash.

If you are adding a tank texture, be sure to have an xml string for it. I added my texture on panzer texture file (panzer texture file by default)

I believe I also have a similar, if not the same issue.
When I've tried to set an icon for a ship unit I've added, it's always come up as Light Infantry in-game, and then I believe that the one time it did recognise the icon (I edited the bin file) the game just crashed whenever I loaded up a conquest.
Edit: I put the ship unit into unit_ship, set up an XML entry for it and used the British Super Battleship as a template for it in def_motion. This caused it to crash, so I tried putting the ship on its own in a specific image, but this only causes it to come up as Light Infantry in-game.

make sure the name match in def_motion. When you have png xml bin
you need to make when you open the xml the file inside as to match the png name or it will crash

For what I know, the game will crash when you open the conquest menu if you mess up def motion. If you mess up in Armysettings, it will crash when you open a conquest.

My XML name I set to Daring.png, then in the motion.xml I also put it as "Daring", but when I added DaringDaring in hex (with 00) between in the bin, the game would crash whenever I loaded into a conquest.

I don’t think you’re supposed to touch the bin files, but just rename them.
