I think Sakurako is a very overlooked general. The only useless skill she has is banner, her other skills are the best in the game for their class. She is so good that she even has two iaps, Archduke C and Desaix who are copycats but are not good ones. Why is she so overlooked? First off, she has lvl 4 movement, and 4 training stars. This is enough to make even a noob general pretty strong. Furthermore, her movement is so good she can move a heavy artillery unit 3 hexes. Secondly, comparing her to other generals, her output is comparable to that of Junot for Cavarly, some guy with bugle on infantry, and marmont for artillery (they can probably travel at the same speed). Also, she is good in fighting complex terrain as well, as she has the skill bugle pretty much for all three unit types. Third, you can shove her on a bad conquest unit and not be mad. Say if you are starting out as Sardinia, you can definitely get away with putting her on a light artillery unit or a riflemen unit. She is definitely fast. So would she able to hold down the last slot instead of golitsyn, or do you think that she is too diverse, and unlike Poniatowski, all of her skills cannot be used on the same unit. Cuz on me, she definitely seems good on everything. On artillery, getting her could be a game changer as three hexes on artillery is the same speed Isabella starts at. This thread was for me the most important advice when playing, so I have to bring it up. Very misrated here - She is so wonderful! Your Idea to use her for the last slot is also very nice idea for those who missed her because: - she is 'out of the box' the strongest princess - her constant high damage make her to gain experie mystical fast I found this thead and gave her a chance, long after I got her - this was the best decision in my gameplay! First of all, there's no way Sakurako has low output after well regrouped.Surprise is just the cherry and Strike is the real cake.
Second, if I don't care about medals, I'll choose Ney or Victoria over her for last slot. 2 isn't quite enough.
Last but not least, Sakurako > Pony imo.

I have access to Sakurako but haven't activated her... simply because there are other gens who do her job better. Ney/Sulkowski on cav, Dobeln for infantry, Scharny and Sophia for arty... Very true. Sulkowski and Scharny are trainers. He is pretty good in that she has great movement for artillery making her basically a nelson without leadership. Dobeln has mass fire. BUT: Sakurako is free - everyone has her! I just want to encourage players to give her a try - special for f2p - she is a monster on every class! To be unused like Maria is such a waste, Sakurako was so useful for my campaign: Most times I put her for last on every unit that missed a gen and she did always a nice job on Art/Cav/Inf (4 move + 2* ability + no evation = ¡¡WOW!!). If she had Leadership instead of Banner she would be IMO the best general in game - too much. (Probably Banner is her Nav+Fort skill?) |

I might just activate her now... lol She is amazing on artillery I have Collingwood as a 3rd arty gen (behind Sophia and the recently acquired Isabela) but I might get her as a backup cav gen (I never use Golitsyn anyways) and as a backup infantry gen Update: Regrouped Golitsyn into Kate (needed the XP and didn't need Golitsyn) I don't plan to activate Sakurako for now, I want to keep trying for Lan and Victoria on HRE 1798 (I have the gens I need just keep making silly mistakes such as leaving Italy alive) and need to get items for all of them as well. Mainly the Warhorse bc Sulkowski and Sophia need it for the HRE conquest |

I must admit, I simply missed her qualities due to the unfocused skill set and little stars on unit. In early to mid game, before you have a full set of generals, she would’ve been very useful. A fast additional general with at least 2* and only one but the best skill for every unit is better than none. If banners weren’t that expensive she could be used as a passive booster for others. |

The guy is literally nelson w/o leadership. If you give him a horse artillery, he will be as fast as moreau. |
