She is so nice - But she don't have Leadership - for this Lan is cav #1. I didn't count but to max her was around 1600🏅 - even economic as she is free! Agha 3 times is not that much of a pain. Diez is way way worse to worry about. Yes lan has 4 good skills. She is definitely the best in the entire game. Her output is consistently high. Sakurako’s high training stars and movement will easily make up for her lack of surprise. Which is why I think she is on par with victoria in usefulness. Sakurake is the perfect #2 - for everything. For the storyline you need Victoria for Sns as poor Fatima is not used anymore.

The only thing keeping me from activating Sakurako is the gens I have that fill her slots; Infantry: Dobeln (I find myself only needing 1 infantry general) Cavalry: Ney, Sulkowski Artillery: Sophia, Isabela, Collingwood, Ushakov. Thats my issue here: I bought Golitsyn but never used him, I don't want the same to happen to Sakurako...

I barely used Infantry - for the 2 (or 3) missions where you get an machine gun Saku did a perfect job - Victoria became important for her navy ability.

Sakurako's biggest strength is also a weakness: She can be a very, very good hybrid when used but even for free to play players tier 2 alone has generals that fill the slot just fine, and Sophia (the easiest princess to obtain) can take an artillery slot: I've simply played enough with regular gens or other princesses to the point where I don't need her

It differs with the player's playstyle imo.In my case, all units has at least one general that's good deployed on them.

If you only have 4-6 slots you may rely on hybrids more whereas with 12 slots (like I have) you can afford to have generals that are very much unit specific, imo

I think Sakurako is a very overlooked general. The only useless skill she has is banner, her other skills are the best in the game for their class. She is so good that she even has two iaps, Archduke C and Desaix who are copycats but are not good ones. Why is she so overlooked? First off, she has lvl 4 movement, and 4 training stars. This is enough to make even a noob general pretty strong. Furthermore, her movement is so good she can move a heavy artillery unit 3 hexes. Secondly, comparing her to other generals, her output is comparable to that of Junot for Cavarly, some guy with bugle on infantry, and marmont for artillery (they can probably travel at the same speed). Also, she is good in fighting complex terrain as well, as she has the skill bugle pretty much for all three unit types. Third, you can shove her on a bad conquest unit and not be mad. Say if you are starting out as Sardinia, you can definitely get away with putting her on a light artillery unit or a riflemen unit. She is definitely fast. So would she able to hold down the last slot instead of golitsyn, or do you think that she is too diverse, and unlike Poniatowski, all of her skills cannot be used on the same unit. Cuz on me, she definitely seems good on everything. On artillery, getting her could be a game changer as three hexes on artillery is the same speed Isabella starts at. I think overall, while Sakurako is overlooked, her usefulness is very much dependent on the number of slots you have (4-6, 7-12) and at what generals you have when you unlock her: She can fill any infantry/cavalry/artillery slot just fine with proper regrouping, but if you already have 1-2 generals that are good on those units, what point is there in activating a general you aren't going to use when you've got other options that have their stars already? She strikes me as a situational general.

She had to be my trader in HRE as Isabella was stuck in Tunisia - she was far away from Istanbul at the last port SE - she just has 2⭐ in trade, but with her rank she gets 3! My 💢 - I finished with max resources and got 850 years in Europe up to round 38! Sakurake is soooo much fun!

Thanks! PS: If I See it right she gets even a 4⭐ rate. Although she only has 2⭐ 😁

Imo sakurako is better than golitsyn if you train agha into her 3 times. Which really isn’t that expensive to do. She’ll be better as she will have an extra movement on golitsyn when it comes to the best cavarly units like horse grenadiers and armored cars. And she also has better training stars (4 vs 1). So she does come with a variety of benefits that will easily make up for her lacking surprise.

Her output with 5* on cavalry will make her a great general to kill anything that isn't a fort or ship

This game was much harder before you could earn 80+ medals from watching ads per day haha. You can do that? The option never shows up on Mac version
