Hey all Ive finally cleared this after very long, and now I found out why I kept losing. So to do this, I basically referred to Brunchiminati's youtube guide, saw his general strategy then did it on my own. Use all super carriers(3), all carriers(4), all cruisers(4 double stacked so 8) and a triple stacked submarine. I have tried many guides before, but I dint know why i kept failing until i realised, sure you fail the mission if nimitz dies, BUT thats only if you havent captured the first port yet. So I just used all my carriers to wipe out nagumo(sacrificing my sub as I didnt know what to do with it), put rommel super carrier in the port, and rushed to take the bottom port with ozawa, who left to attack my cruiser force attacking yamamoto. Generals needed: no good ones really just ensure all your 3 super carrier generals have at least 2 navy stars, with one with high movement(i used guderian to steal ozawa's port), and someone healthy or your regular navy gen on the cruiser( i used kuznetsov, but even with no naval stars it can work). For nimitz, his last two skills can be either sailor rumour(i went with this) , cover rumour or explosives rumour
Here's a step by step if you found it confusing:

so basically make sure you capture nagumo's port before nimitz dies, then you can just ignore him and save yourself(oof)

Then again, this is a trend with many of ET's campaigns and challenges so it's a good alternative for those lacking in power.

Let’s all be honest, we all cringe on the inside when easy tech puts nimitz on an aircraft carrier instead of a double stacked cruiser. Seriously, heck even a sub would be preferable.

HAHAHHAHAHAHA nice one lel my first cringe was seing halsey being put on infantry in 1943 conquests, how does one infantry star even make a difference XDDD In world conqueror 3, many high hp japanese generals such as Inoue were placed in ports on light infantry units (the weakest kind). It looks extremely awkward haha. Then they would sit in the ports and take nukes to the face haha. Even worse was seeing Zhu D placed on a tank in the 1950 conquest. In world conqueror 4, this is pretty rare fortunately.

Patton? Ugh. Where was my mind when I thought he was like the best general in the game? I am even ashamed of looking into the Patton discussion.

I beat it with no navy tech and Messe as my only gen with navy stars. Konev, Guderian, Vatutin were brought along for the ride for health bonus. The unit composition above works, I will say however, I sustained heavy losses that I would have to wait for tomorrow to replenish Guderian was put on a carrier for his air stars, then rest on cruisers. Start attacking Nagumo, but take out the escorts first, I did this with the carriers. The super carriers would attack Nagumo himself. Halsey will come along but he has a tendency to get confused. If If your allies take the port they spawn a few triple stacked submarines. You cannot spawn units The Japanese troops ended up not going in the water, but this was for only one turn. I wouldn't count on it. After taking the ports attack Yamamoto with air power, DO NOT ENGAGE HIS ESCORT! This wastes key time and may trigger the southern troops The cruisers go down south and attack the troops. Ozawa, who is actually a fake Ozawa will leave the port. Konev came in handy with his movement stars, he can be placed in a location that allowed him to snipe the southern port. Yamamoto and the southern port were dealt with on the same turn.

I don't recall but having 7 carriers attack him was enough, carriers can be pretty fragile.
