Im doing a guide for it soon as im doing prettywell with my navy, so before i release the comprehensive guide the basic strategy is, 1) secure navy 2) defeat finland 3) defend russia 4) defeat the rest of europe axis powers 5) crawl to japan and win
i estimate about 3 generals will be sacrificed(not including starting olav), about 50 cities conquered and 100 turns spent on my first try.

so far so good ive taken out finland, weakened germany, defeated hungary and romania. Now facing a bulgarian and italian land spam(at least i have the only soviet general left ,zhukov to help) my navy is doing ok both of my naval generals are at half hp but the spam seems to be over. Japan got too successful and is now speeding towards europe with no one except australia to stop them. USA and Canada too busy getting destroyed by the japanese navy to help me in europe. Italian spam in africa at its peak and they are charging for india and asia. Gee, this will be my most intense conquest ever.

As Norway I have played a patient player and made Scandinavia a fortress. I killed off Sweden and made many generals while on water and then I slowly started going through Denmark and Finland. It was a long game and I think all of my allies were smashed (not being able to defend or counterattack) but yea that was p much Norway 39 for me

ok, here goes everyone, norway is a painful but fresh and new conquest for experienced players. Minimum tech level is mid pacific and above, minimum generals at least 2 good tank, 2 good navy generals and 2 good artillery. Photo of how i started out:  These are the brief priorities when playing as 1939 norway: 1) dont rush, quickly build up your economy for naval power, and spawn your best navy general. 2) seize cities and expand 3) resist spam 4) push on to italy 5) send paratroopers to japan 6) finish off remaining axis powers and win  So firstly, keep your unit in oslo inside as germany will be sending many paratroopers to attack you. Use your starting general to try to take the nearest german port, and also send some fast naval unit(single stack destroyer) to take as many uk and french ports as you can to earn as much income as possible. After you got your first best naval general onto a double stacked cruiser, use it to lower helsinki in finland to 0 health, then use fighters to paratroop it and defeat finland. In the meantime, if other cities are left open like copenhagen in denmark or the baltic states, dont hesitate to parasnipe, for income is v impt in the early stage of the conquest. Afterwards, spawn a triple stacked medium tank in finland, place your best tank gen(for me i used guderian) and work with the russians to push back. Do not lead your tank gen on solo city missions, use him to clear off invading enemy troops on your parasniped cities. Try to take warsaw with your general as it would be a good offensive point. When you have captured most of poland, the italians and the balkan states will send their usual spam to you. This will leave your tank gen to half hp, spawn your other generals and defend your territory to the best of your ability. The trick to suviving this merciless spam is to wait until the soviet units start their offensive on german cities(i.e after they help you ease the enemy spam they start their own attack on berlin), then send your units with them to steal cities. However the previous method will leave you with a huge balkan spam in the south. For me, i sent yamashita to help with the stealing of german cities, and pretty soon with little resistance(thx to the russians) i managed to capture most of germany and france.  As in this picture, notice how the huge spam is imminent, and i only have weakened guderian and arnold to help me. Well, this depends on your luck on whether some soviet units will help you in the conquest of the balkans. For me i just spammed as many medium tanks as i could. Aim to take hungary and romania to establish a perimeter or a line of defence, then try your best to defend with your generals, units and by building bunkers as a distraction.  When you gain control of italy and start to attack africa, send paratroopers to japan, steal some cities and just push the japanese back. The only axis power that does not spam in wc4 is arguably japan, so you should have a very easy time taking japan. Well, the finishing part is easy and is self explanatory, so there you have it. 1939 Norway, made possible by me |

im not keen on playing any other european countries as they are too full of heavy tanks, i might try mongolia or australia as guides

tbh im keen on australia since its my very first conquest i played when i started my game, back then in my first account i had tito and messe, and got completely annihilated by the spam. Should I play as 1939 or 1943 australia? Im thinking of doing a all cities conquest by controlling all the ports in the map and only allowing an enemy land spam, which will let me take all the possible cities

I’ve already done Finland 1939 to collect the 150 Medal reward, but I never completed 1939 with an Allied power. |

I imagine that you did this without Cold War tech, judging by the fact that you said “Minimum tech level is mid Pacific”.

Someone would only do this for the sake of being a challenge, anyway. Anyone aiming for that 1-star 150 Medal reward would likely pick Finland or Egypt.
