So I've recently started, I've just finished the first war of Independence campaing I've dropped 3 stars along that path. In New York (**) , York Town (*) and Westward Movement (**)
My first attempt in Candian died.
I've not got any generals but the three free ones.
I have a couple of swords though.
Light inf tech, Atk 1 Def 1 HP 1
Heavy Tech, Atk 0 Def 1 HP 1
Light Art tech, Atk 1 Def 1 HP 1
i dont have any of the mobility upgrades yet.
No other tech invested.
I've played with increasing Jourdain and Gates' levels a bit but stopped.
What is my best next step, after a couple of netherland 1798 grinds I've got 48k gold and 1245 medals. I'm not sure if I should grind for Murat, or for Massena first. As my tech choices show I tend to ignore Cav but I'm starting to think this is a weakness of mine so I'm thinking maybe I should grind for a Cav Gen. not sure whether to grind all the way to Murat or pick up Ney.
I'm guess saving the medals for general purchase is more important then leveling up the generals I've got? However, grinding 30 mins for just 50 medals is a bind!
So I lack a Cav general and don't favour Cav in my play style though I can change the latter more easily than the first, so should I invest in inf/art army training and neglect the cavalry? I also don't know if my investment in light art was right, the heavy art is just so slow!
I feel I'm in a good position but what should I do next!!
for the canadian campiagn it is difficult, and you cannot waste any turns when playing the missions. the first mission's are the hardest, I Would make sure to use plenty of artillery and grenadiers to damage cities. Make sure you escort your generals ( use other units to clear a path to cities for your generals ) and dont engage the fleet unless you need to. you should try to upgrade your militia on the trees first, as when you get them fully upgraded, they can hold your cities for you with little cost, and its really helpful.
