Unfortunately, the biggest problem for France in 1812 is that USA are too passive. Even if USA survive (thanks to our donations), - no way they will make any attempt to capture neither Canadian cities in the North, nor Mexican island in Pacific. I've personally never seen such attempts. Yet if I play as Coalition, USA pulls an elite army out of nowhere and proceeds to take Canada and Mexico out like France takes Spain and Portugal out in 1815.

France can 100% defeat Spain, Prussia and sometimes Britain. USA can’t. They can occupy huge amounts of lands, but they pretty much never finish off Canada and Mexico within a reasonable time. Canada and Mexico can beat USA with huge amounts of donations as soon as possible, but there’s tons of luck involved, so it’s hard to control the turncount. That’s kind of why I dislike America in 1812 and 1815. Wish they were a seperate conquest like in EW4.

I only need to do a 1-star in 1812 (Bavaria will be my choice), a 1-star in 1815 (Naples will be my choice) and a 3-star in 1815 (USA, obviously). Now, finishing the Conquests off with a USA 1815 conquest will be a lot of fun.

Even if they conquer nearby cities they send troops to Britain or Spain rather than finish the job in North America. And apparently you can't capture Canadian cities in the North or Mexican islands playing as France (or a continental ally of France) in a reasonable number of turns. Only Brazil has a chance, but here we have another problem - Scandinavia and Northern Russia.

It is possible to change priorities of AI using right donations in the right time. So, for example, if we declare war on Brazil at turn 1 - most likely some of Brazil units will be at sea at turn 4. So, if Colombia has enough resources they will build a couple of ships (and they are very important to defeat USA in time). The same with Mexico. And we can "force" Canadians to hire heavy cavalry, again if they have enough resources. Otherwise they will build almost exclusively militia (very ineffective against city walls).
