If excluding price and upgrade cost, who is better, full-upgraded Lan vs Davout? I'm excluding Ney because it seems in the long run the first two is better by a margin. I'm looking for the 4th cav slot after 3 aura gens.

Station, on the other hand, is a very situational skill, hardly better than mountain fighting. However, Davout is better for naval missions. Not enough though to outperform Lan in general.

I'm looking for the 4th cav slot after 3 aura gens. I have Davout and Lan. Davout is a bit stronger for my particular team. First, I purchased and upgraded him earlier, he has good stats. Second, I normally use my cavalry team in order to benefit from aura, means together. It is main priority to enter deep into the enemy lines fast. Blucher, Murat and Dambrovsky.. they all have plain fighting. 4th general with plain fighting most of the time in the same place? I would consider plain fighting useless for 4th cav gen. As I understand You already have Blucher. In case You use Your cav team as I do, Davout is great with his station (to occupy cracked city) and with his tactic master. I still don't use Lan even though I have 6 cav gens in my team now So, it depends on Your playstyle I'ld say. If directly compared as a standalone generals.. Lan is stronger. Btw, Station means bonus in all kids of buildings - cities, temples, stables etc. It is still a situational skill, but definitely not a useless one. Besides, TM is a double edge sword, but in good hands it could be a lethal weapon. I would say that Lan/Ney are more easy to command, and Davout requires quite a skillful management on the part of the player.

Speaking of Ney, I bought him after saving up alot and winning my first Netherlands Grind. Easier to get so he would be the early game choice no doubt.

Also, prepare to grind for 8 hours daily for a week for the crimean war .

That's not a promising future Now with Massena and Murat full stats and max aura skill, I just let Murat stay at Amsterdam and Massena on shore then next turn until the end, which takes about 10 mins/grind. Still finding a way to auto it (without using mod/3rd party intervention ofc), because with normal auto the AI have to wait for every country to make a move, if not u have to skip by hand. Any post/discussion for this before?

Any post/discussion for this before? There are posts, but it's pretty much the same thing. Just look at your phone, monotonously press buttons until you win, then repeat . It sucks really, because the endgame content requires you to have the best gens with maxed out skills(atleast the skills that matter), and willingness to sell your other gens to buy some gens to deal with some other challenges. So yeah, i prefer to use strategy or some neat tactics to win, but at times, brute force is needed to complete some challenges. You can use autoclicker, but from my experience it's not reliable. That's my complaint for EW6, the monotonous grinding. Rip battery life too.
