let's document our history of the board as well! Chronicling our ow2n history is essential to preserve our culture and essence! In that case, Ill start off by inviting saltin, to share how he contacted james yang in the first place to start off the board. Did et pay him to do so, or did he volunteer to et? What made him do so? Reason why i quoted his name like that instead of the moderator quote thingy is due to him being busy and me notexpecting an immediate response haha

Hello, The forum got started years before we interacted with Easytech. The purpose of our community is to help players from all around the world with guides and such, hopefully doing it in an entertaining fun way. No one gets paid in our forum we are all volunteering our time. The forum of course will facilitate Easytech announcements (such as new games), we are happy to do do

i see thanks for your reply! No wonder, many forums are also fan based and not many have actual staff in them... I didnt know this was originally a fan started forum!

Funny that its in american and not chinese too haha. Really interesting fact that easytech is an asian country but makes euro centric games.

Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby Jr,yes the forum is a fan site, we have a staff on and off of about 9 mods/admin,all of them gamers and former regular players. it's just not a commercial enterprise (ie: it's not a business). Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, that was the point of the forum! Here was a great mobile gaming company that made fun interesting strategic/warfare games and there were both a Chinese (very large amount of followers) and a Russian community but not an English language based forum. It was frustrating trying to google anything about EW4 and finding practically nothing on the web, thus EFC was made. As to the second point raised note that Easytech also made Asian based warfare game, it's just that some of the biggest wars/Empires the world has known in recent memory happen to have been started in Europe.

I have some questions How do you stay the forum online? Don't you need to pay for a host? Or it's easy tech that pays for the forum host? Obs:this are some questions if you don't want to answer its OK

I am assuming you are asking for yourself? If your needs are minimal you can run for free on something like PB, Phpbb, Vbulletin5, reddit or (social) networks like weibo, VK or even run a group in something like Facebook. Basically you agree to run their advertisement, abide by their TOS and be somewhat gimped on content management. This is what the EFC forum does, we agree to run ads and we get hosted in exchange. Else if you need high quality commercial grade hosting including solid technical support, guaranteed uptime, backups, large bandwidth, no ads ect.. well these options are expensive.

Originally most of the English users hung out on what was then the official easytech forum on their website. It was basically me, AmericanBall, and RussiaBall (both sadly afk for a while now iirc), along with a few others. Saltin came in and, considering the horrible design of the easytech forum, made a new site with much better design (this one). And that's how we got here.
