Bai Chongxi is a badass and severely underrated. Good damage, fastest movement out of any general on field artilley, good health. He is almost perfect (if only artillery barrage and plain fighting were a bit higher in level). Overall, really good in my opinion. The only problem is in some challenges there's only infantry, Konev works in that case. Or you can grab Zhu to go with him which is still cheaper than Konev alone. Not sure if he is better than Konev on infantry ability though. I am not really a huge fan of Zhu D all together tho. I think that mannerheim’s lvl 4 raider and decent output makes him a stronger choice. I also think that Goering is also a bit better (I mean, you gotta give it to him, marshal rank and lvl 1 bayonet charge makes him a pretty tough character). Clark as well would be a better choice imo. For slightly more, clark comes with lvl 2 bayonet charge, lvl 3 explosives, and really good at defending cities. He can also be quite good at naval invasions. Sun LR, even though he doesn’t have huge health, deals huge damage. You just have to retreat him from the fighting to heal once he drops below a quarter health. For some reason, I always end up having to purchase yamashita because he is the only one that really gets the job done for me.

He and yamashita are essentially the same general, just yama is a bit stronger. But using konev on infantry, you have to sacrifice him on artillery which is usually not worth it. Everyone else is either too slow or lacks sufficient bayonet charge level to be useful during cold war.

I personally did not appreciate Yamashita that much so I bought Vasilevsky. When Konev and Yamashita are both on MI they are almost exactly the same. Plus you don't really need an infantry general until alien challenges.

In that one, vasilevsky gets missiled into oblivion than he is a pea shooter. I do appreciate generals for 1000 medals like devers, bagrayam, badoglio... Zhu d is just not one of them.
