That's the fun really. Psychologically speaking, hard challenges with little external rewards is really motivating, since the rewards are more internal rather than external. That's why there are documented cases of men braving harsh seas for little reward, other than the fact that they want adventure. Although, in the majority of cases hard challenges with large rewards are the most motivating. Depends on the goal really. So you are going for it huh? Not much you will get, other than the title. But if it's important to you have it,then goodspeed my friend, just remember others will want that title back, good luck with that. Just came back from a hiking trip. Yeah, i'm going for that title. Gonna keep beating those records until it's undeniable that i am the world's fastest conqueror, in EW6 atleast Although, it isn't really fair, since there isn't any serious competition right now, unless stoic decides to beat his own records

Well I also are trying to break the record too but it's quite hard as I always miss the target by a few rounds the closest I got is 1815 Portugal 48 rounds which is just sad

As I said you are very close to the title already, but it will take some time, you know... Not everyone is active nowadays and so on. But in fact no one has any objections so far. So patience is the key. But I definitely won't stop you from beating another record . My own personal interest is not as high, as it was then, I have to admit. But you never know . If you will smash one record after another, I may come back. Netherlands 1796 is especially important to me I played it probably 50 times trying to beat andrei's record. I agree that I could spend this time far more useful, but, damn, it was so exciting

I agree that I could spend this time far more useful, but, damn, it was so exciting Guess what record i'm trying to beat right now . Yeah, Netherlands 1798 is actually the hardest one, and i've tried all conquests to see which country would be viable for a speed run. Italy and Warsaw are too far from Britain, while Sardinia is Sardinia, so the only viable option for 1 star 1798 is Netherlands. At least in other periods there are more options. I managed to capture Britain in 25 turns, but it took me 15 more turns to finally close off the game because i spent my resources there. Also, don't worry, it will take time, since i'm not dedicating all my time to my game, just my 3 hour free time. Also, i'm not worried when a competition arrives, i'm actually excited. Stress makes me focus.

stoic , i expect you to be a competition in the new game when it gets released tho That's for sure. Besides andrei will show up with high degree of probability And maybe our best WC series player Max Otto von Stierlitz will visit ancient Rome as well

Just like football, without the trashtalking crowd

Getting the fastest 1 star conquest for 1798 is a pain. 32 turns Netherlands was my best. Probably need more upgrades to my generals, and more generals in generals would be my best course of action right now.

My advice - try 1815 conquests. Actually all records for that year are nothing more than first decent results.

I'm also farming for medals and gold so i can finally max out my tech, and max my gens ( I have no max gen yet), so i just keep doing Netherlands 1798 until i get lucky, or until my gens get strong enough. Probably try 1815 later, but for now, Netherlands 1798.

Although i stopped playing for 2 days since thesis and stuff. All were close calls, and i'm frustrated that i keep emptying my gallery folder after taking so many pictures.
