From my experience, the ranking system mostly depends on the country you're using, the year you're playing, and the turns you consume. If you have a score of 150,000 or higher, that gives you an S rank. 125,000 (could be 120,000 i think) or above is an A. Below is a B. I've never gotten a C before so correct me if that exists. Also more cities and less generals contribute to your points as well. Using no generals gives you 20,000 points. For a three star in 1798 (easiest conquest), I'd say you have to get 40 turns or less to achieve an S. However, if you play the Netherlands or other 1-star nations. It's gonna be easy to get an S even if you reach 70 or 80 turns. In 1815, I got an S for the first time and unlocked Sakurako by playing Morroco for 140 rounds, so as you can see, the year matters a lot too.
P.S. If you complete any conquest under 20 rounds, it gives you an E because easytech thinks you're hacking lol

I am thinking you need to shoot for 75 turns or less for 3 star countries for a A rank. I just attempted Russian 1806 and failed at 80+ and got a B rank.

But youre right, ET thinks it is a hack lol. Rank e is excellent xD. I played russia 1798 and i disappointed because i only got an a even its 40 turns.

Well, I wasn't too far off with my guess, 180 in the end. I tried another but it still took 103 and only got a B, however I just finished in 59 turns playing as Britain and got an A. IMO the main problem with France is having to get all of Russia, Scandinavia and Britain virtually single-handed as my allies weren't up to much at all. What's S rank btw? Is it better than A? Yup, S rank is better than A. The one who made the ranking thought that S comes before A after drinking a bit too much booze. Got an S yesterday playing as Prussia for the first time. I have to say I found it much easier than France.

I have to say I found it much easier than France. Well, it is pretty obvious. France has many generals including such stars as Murat and Napoleon himself. But if you play as France many of them are unavailable to you. Therefore it is easier to play those countries whose list of generals is not so impressive. If you play as Netherlands and have 4-5 generals at your disposal - it is a significant contribution to the French Coalition' cause. But if you play as France - you loose more than you gain (at least at the beginning of your career).
