So I unlocked 1980 scenarios and conquests few weeks ago but didin't played yet, only doing invasions and upgrading tech tree.
My question is: Do I need a good third tank general to finish the game?
My generals are:
Tank: Guderian, Rommel and Messe.
Artillery: Konev and Leeb.
Navy: Donitz and Mountbatten.
Infantry: Rundstedt.
Can the good old Messi be the man to the job or I really need another one like Vatutin or Rokossovsky?
Messi was useful in some hard cold war scenarios (completed 7 of 12) but idk if i can still use him, maybe turn in a suport general upgrading his rumor and crowd tatics and 2 or 3 ranks for more hp.
But I need medals too for upgrade Guderian and Rommel.
In the moment I have 2700 medals.
So what you guys think?

convict, congratulations on your first post and a very warm welcome to our forum! Imo my suggestions(i have rommel guderian vatutin and rokossovsky as tank gens) are that you should keep messe as a rumor support general is a very useful one especially in 1980. Try to get someone like Rokossovsky(priority) or Graziani(expensive but worth it) for your 4th tank general which is pretty useful. You can also consider other generals like nimitz to replace mountbatten for navy(with explosives, ace forces, fleet leader, rumor this guy is the best cruiser gen), an air general like arnold to both boost your missile damage which is a blessing in 1980, and as a very strong rumor support as well, and lastly dowding, another air general with city resource boosting abilities which is essential for speed run conquests where you aim to complete conquests in the shortest turns possible to challenge existing records(like how i cleared usa 1950 in 19 turns). However, this is all in the long term and what would be recommended for you to focus on now is to upgrade guderian and konev as much as possible so that they will be of a lot of help in the 1980 campaigns and conquests. Maybe you guys don't realize but your posts are very helpful to people like me who only reads the forum most of time, helped me to fix some mistakes I did in the beggining (like buying Tito, Crear and Blamey lol). This game is a bit hard to a new player, but rewarding experience.
So I believe the best I can do now is upgrade Guderian right? Konev already has arty leader and accuracy at lvl 5 and rumor lvl 3, but guderian still needs upgrades, and after that Rokossovsky or Arnold.
About the 19 turns conquest is very impressive, I only believe because i saw the printscreen, my conquests take around 80 turns at least lol

convict, yes I believe Guderian is the prioritised general you would want to invest in heavily. Speed runs involve efficiency of strategy and good resource generals like the almost fully upgraded dowding i have. The best world record holder for wc4 is Max Otto von Stierlitz though, I mean look at his records hahahaha. No problem, we will be always glad to help, and thanks for your compliment

I finished almost everything in the game and I'm gaining 150-200 medals a day through invasions and ads. |

Invasions and adds give only 50-60 per day which means in a month I can only get 1500-1800 which is not even enoguh to buy a gold tier general. Btw all of europe- pacific done and cold war finished partly. Currently on UN which I cant pass the 1st mission. Even ı complete all of the campaigns exercises it is not enough. Once you upgrade your generals, you'll be able to complete some missions that you couldn't earlier. Once you get pas UN1, the next few missions add up to about 300 easy medals. Also finish conquests which you haven't done, since those give medals, and finishing all hard missions in a given year gives you bonus medals as well. I went from 500 medals last week to about 2300 medals today from doing that. Note that I only completed UN1 like three weeks ago, so you're not too far behind me. |

All of the trade cost reduction wonders. All of the tech cost reduction. For task wonders I have none. For invasions I have Pyramids and city of djenne but not the great wall and the red fort which costs 750 k at all which I can not afford as my resource wonders together with adds only total up to 36 k which directly flows to tech research🤪. Btw I can do 12 medal invasions which is great but ı dont have great wall and red fort thus greatly reducing the medal potential |

Well just bought all of the resource wonders 4-5 days ago and found it very usefull. As europe-pacific is totally done my resource income is low and with conquests-adds-tasks- invasions- exercises found a way to go on. Doing 1-2 conquests a day is really good for upgrades. Btw just started the game 2 weeks ago but with a lot of playing I made good progress. |

The $45 pack, plus smaller packs that would get as close as possible to $60. |
