jamesyangSaltinsaltinThis game is attempting to advertise using a still from World Conqueror 4, which I'm quite certain is illegal, and it angers me senselessly. I see this company doing it to all sorts of games and I'd like it if Easytech could do something.

Yeah one or more gaming outfits are using wc4 art, it's been reported but I don't know if they are doing something about it or not.
In a case like this companies can just file a dmca notice to the hosting site (in this case the playstore) and the offending game would get blocked from sales until it's investigated but the thing is sometimes the original art owner dont feel like it's worth the trouble since these cases often involve their legal department and they incur fees in the process of pursuing their claims.
Also it's possible they were given permission to do so, or that they got a license to share the art,or that they are using public library assets that any dev can use.

The issue is that isn't even the game they're advertising. They're just using a random screenshot as advertisement for their own game, and that's absurd! I would be very dispapointed if Easytech chose not to pursue action.

Like it's one thing if you use a few sprites like that one knockoff game, but using the whole thing as an advertisement scheme???
I've seen the same company use footage from Mount and Blade Bannerlord as advertisement!

So these guys apparently been stealing art/media/video from a lot of other people and for quiet some time too, here is a youtuber that complained that they stole some of his footage from the Total War series of games and used that to advertise their own stuff.

Google (the owner of YouTube) provides this form to report advertisements that infringe Copyright: support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905#ts=2981967I think if you or an Easytech employee fills this out things will go much quicker, as it allows you to fill out a DMCA much quicker. I'll try to let Google know myself as well! If you would like, I could send you the whole unedited (uncropped) screenshot via forum PM.

I am pretty sure only the owners of the intellectual property (or their legal representative) can pursue a dmca claim.

Hobo Joe, Thank you very much for telling us about this method . However , we cannot fill in the Web form because it requires us to fill in the URL of the illegal content . We only have the screenshot you provided . And could you help us report it to YouTube or Google ? And we will try to contact with Google too .

Hobo Joe, And could you tell us the specific way to see this advertisement in YouTube mobile app ? Thank you very much ! We also want to try our best to find this illegal advertisement in YouTube mobile app by ourselves . Just looking through it, it's one of the random ads you get in your home feed. In fact, I just saw it again! The only link it brings me to is it's Google play page.

Hobo Joe, About your YouTube mobile app , could you tell me your position that you set in YouTube mobile app , the YouTube channels you are following and the content you frequently search for ? These factors will influence the random advertisement shown in the YouTube app . I mostly use YouTube to watch strategy game tutorials (Total War, Hearts of Iron, etc), I use it to watch HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts), and History documentary. Do you think it would be easier to find on a US IP, if you have any employees in America? I know a lot of advertisement is geographical!
