I had like 70 of them idling (still need to play more coalition to get the Crown badges) because of Netherlands Conquest. I didn't realize how worthy they were. They worth 3k gold each. When I sold like 60 of them, my techs were raised sky high in a single leap. Don't forget to sell your eagle badges! (haven't seem anyone recommending that explicitly on a guide or something, so, here it goes).

Yeah, because if the number is 100, the player will not receive them anymore, so it is a good advice indeed to pay close attention to it... The same is true about silver medals, btw... |

Every time i finished a conquest i sell eagle badges and it adds 9k into your gold. So in Netherlands 1798 conquest, my total gold win is 19k |

Keep in mind, Eagle and crown badges,you should use first to buy the medals you want,then sell them.
