Hello guys. After reading all your useful comments about generals, I still couldn't decide which 2nd artillery general I should buy in the future: John or Alexander. Looking forward to your advices.
P.S. Don't worry I'll buy Mahmud as the first artillery general.

Imo, it is not very critical with Arty. Sending arty together (to benefit from both commanders) is possible but not obligatory. I'ld take both Alex and John instead of Mahmud

It really depends on your personal preference. All of them have significant pros and cons.

Well, my pair of artillery generals were Alex+John. But I would rather vote for Alex+Mahmud now. Reasons are very simple:
1. Sometimes we have a good Artillery general at our disposal right from the start of a mission or a conquest. For example, Alexander, Kutuzov, Moltke, Napoleons (both of them) and so on. 2. Sometimes there are quite a few Artillery units right from the start. For example, the Battle of Balaclava or such conquests like Russia 1812 or Spain 1812. 3. Sometimes there are good Artillery generals or artillery units fighting as our allies somewhere nearby. For example, some campaigns, Crimean war missions or such conquests like Saxony 1806 or Poland 1812.
In all these situations two Artillery experts might be more useful.

P.S. Don't worry I'll buy Mahmud as the first artillery general. Since artillery is meant mainly for reducing city fortifications. John and/or Alex, will do the job. Napoleon is best at this, although you could do almost just as well without him, since you could get Mahmud II.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Well, seeing that both of them good, I could buy them because they are also cheap.

Alexander. I think 2 art gens is too much. Jordan is a thing. He can fill a spot until you get something better.

Later in the game you dont really need artillery at all. Imo. Cavalry can take cities on thier own, and massena and Barclay are bassically cannons when it comes to tunneling, so i only carry one art general. But if you think 2 or 3 would be better... maybe.

I you have 3 you're an arty fan, but arty is just not fast enough in this game. A good infantry gen on a grenadier ( the best inf unit in the game, maybe even the best unit) does more then enough city damage and can kill units and most important you can move!! 😀 arty gens are only usefull in the First turns of the conquest because after that they are just to far from the front line. That's Why arty gens are the last gens you should get maybe not the last but not as one of the first 3
