i also see people underusing diplomacy which really irritates me as it's the best part of ew6.
For example, Sweden 1806:
general rule: for any "paired" conflicts not involving you (sweden vs denmark, spain vs morocco, italy vs sicily, etc) consider declaring war on the enemy 1-2 turns before your respective ally joins in: the enemy will move its forces away a bit giving your ally an easier time but quick enough so those enemies wont contribute much to other theatres.
Denmark: after setting up your units declare war ASAP. you dont want to face those damn spams. enemy units will come suicide at you and sometimes i sniped Copenhagen very early with 1 ship plus 1 grenadier. after finishing consider sending a few units to greenland. i don't because it will take longer to take the Middle East than for AI Great Britain to take Greenland.
Spain: declare on T1. as said before, this will distract some spanish units and send them north, giving morocco an easier time
Warsaw: declare on T3. Russian artilleries will be passing by at that time and it wil get ruthlessly crushed. it might cost Berlin but AI can take it back easier than dealing with a 2-front war.
Austria: i bribe them once so they can come in and help dealing with ottomans. this means bribing away its enemies Rhine and Saxony
Egypt: they are a secret powerhouse. i bribe them once to give Sicily more breathing room and for the Bal
kans to be secured.
