push to donetsk. Ditch denmark and move 2 artillery to france, and 1 to leningrad where you use all your generals there to seize it. Build medium tanks and howitzers to seize paris. This seems like a pretty lost conquest but with the right strategy and determination nothing is impossible  |

As I remember, famous gens don't require hq level.
With Messe and Crear you have to be able to get 40% discount for Nimitz and Konev or at least get medals for Leeb. You can fire Crear to get some medals as he's totally useless, though Messe isn't very useful too, I haven't used any of them.

ty! My patience and ease of completing a scenario,etc ain't great. So I never looked at Messe as unnecessary. Haha He's not really unnecessary at all, and in fact you can get some extra medals from invasions, which you hadn't cleared without him, but for final lineup there are notably better candidates. |
