Playing as the Sinope Kingdom is crazy easy. But so far everything else is difficult. Sometimes you do very well but your allies just suck so it’s also really a matter of luck.

I'd say focus on beating your nearest enemy, then bribe your allies to join the war faster, while delaying some of your enemies. Just trust your judgement on it.

I have tried to bride allies I even paid those neutral kingdoms and as much as possible I have asked the Pirates and the other kingdoms to join me and not the oppositions but I will try again, thanks for the tip 💪

You need to consider where your enemies are for example if you're playing on the roman side your main enemies are in spain, france, germany and the Balkan. Good countries could be: rome caesar, rome crassus and i've heard people say rome pompey but I think that isn't right because you can't do anything against the Balkan and germany and half you country is in africa ( a terrible place if you want to be fast because there are No important enemies. In most games one star countries are the best for high ranks so I think you should pick a one star country close to rome-caesar

Just ask question and others may give more advice.

Just need to destroy your enemies in africa, then march your forces northward. Just bribe the enemy tribes there to enter the war later, to give time for Crassus to do some capturing. If you destroy Nasamones, Egypt will have free reign to destroy the enemy tribe to it's north.

But crassus is just in a better position to quickly destroy the Balkan the only thing Why pompey could be good is that they terrible if you aren't playing as them

If you're still having a problem, it's probably your timing of bribing allies . Just ask question and others may give more advice. Probably, how you’d I determined if it is the right time to bride or not?? I usually just bribe one ally and one enemy (chosen based on location and spawn time) during the first turn. I just ignore them after a while, and focus on beating the closest enemy. If there's an enemy i can bribe after i beat my enemy, then i will bribe(provided i have gold). If not, i send all my units to the closest enemy, and some units to go scout. I don't actually donate to my allies, i just use to build an army, and if i have a spare 150 gold, use it on neutrals. Make sure to save some money tho, in case the pirates or the goat tribe asks for it. Ignore them twice without paying(i think) makes them attack you. Also, bribing is usually better for smaller countries. For larger empires, i don't bother bribing allies or enemies and just use the resource to build an army, and use the spare to bribe neutrals.

But yeah, i'll try Crassus later, since i'm done with event 1.
