This is done assuming that you have great generals and great tech. This is for 1980. Difficulty levels: 1-10 1 being easiest and 10 being the hardest Soviet Union-1 PRC-3/4 video: Japan-4 Thailand-5 Australia- India-3 Iraq- Turkey-2 Egypt- Italy-6 France- Spain- UK- USA-7 Cuba-10 Germany-5 This is in my opinion. Cuba was quite hard, It requires some luck. I managed to get really luck on one run. It had the perfect conditions to beat my lowest amount of cities record. I won with all allies surviving

Out of pure curiosity, can someone name all possible countries in 1980 and their generals? I'm curious, but WTO 5 and NATO 6 are ridiculously hard.

More ratings: India 3 because you're not so much under pressure, but also in the middle of nowhere and Germany and Thailand were already defeated once I reached Europe/China.
Thailand 5; only one city and you will probably build one heavy tank in the beginning with your best gen who has to do all the lifting. You can easily get swarmed if you can't take enemy cities in one turn. After the first 5-8 turns went in your favor, the rest should be comparatively easier.

Some more suggestions:
Iraq 2. Almost an exact copy of Turkey. Two cities, good access to Asia/Europe and the starting general is a little weaker.
Egypt 3. It's tempting to conquer Africa but these cities give very few resources so it's better to play it like Turkey/Iraq. You can enter Europe via North Africa and Spain, though.
Spain 5. Surprisingly difficult. Lots of missile cruisers force you to constantly put resources into the coastal cities (keeping/recapturing them) and you have to force your way through Europe with no easy alternative route. Once France is liberated, things should go easier but in my game China was defeated so Asia was also a lot of grinding.

Its super easy too, if you have rumor generals. Italy, Ussr, and Spain are amazing countries to play as. Actually Japan too if you have powerful naval gens. Italy you get Super Subs and Mountaineers. |

Nice! Italy is really underrated in this game, only faction to have the Super Submarine. Imagine a maxed Dönitz in one. |
