Should I make a separate thread for newer players and title holders? It seems pretty unfair to let title holders compete with other players, and it's pretty demoralizing for newer competitors. Of course, they would eventually need to beat one of the records set by one of the title holders to become one, or at least tie a really impressive one. stoic, andrei, Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby Jr, dsongop, Max Otto von Stierlitz, cojoncio.

I don't think other players can't beat experienced players. They can and will They just need this experience and competition where they focus highest result It is only matter of time

Well, if you look at the game center or google play leaderboards, there are for sure hundreds of players out there who possess the same if not more skill as we do. I’ll be excited to greet the next cojoncio in GCR, so I think keeping the unofficial records thread would be best.

Could be good idea, if there will be enough competitors for it.

If you like to be the best - you have to beat the best. Competition makes all of us better as players. New players will gain more by trying to beat real records rather than by being content with the mediocre results.

To say the truth, our current results hardly can be labelled as "records" at all. Most of the screenshots contain medals as rewards. That means - these are our first attempts to beat this or that conquest. There is, of course, a probability that it was a stroke of genius , but let face the truth: these are our first decent results. Nothing more than that...

I see the. Keep the thread as one then. Besides, there's a lot of time and I won't be gone for a while, so I won't let someone take my records and get away with it

And then we will see what you are made of

For the meantime I'll be competing with andrei, which isn't easy

So, I simply don't have any sound ideas now, what side is good enough for speed runs. But your recent results with Carthage are impressive, truth be told...

I won't touch 2 star records for now. Gonna focus on the 3 star ones. As for which side for speed runs, Carthage side for Punic wars, while Gail's side for Cesar's time

Vercingetorix is too slow, and I already have Spartacus who is meant to slaughter units. Vercingetorix seems redundant. If only more archer gens had march

If only more archer gens had march I was telling about Crassus right after the game release I was seriously thinking about selling both Verc and Arminius. But I'll wait for the update to see what is the amount of medals we can take out of there.

But I'll wait for the update to see what is the amount of medals we can take out of there. Antony is mvp for most of my conquests, along with Pompey. Vercingetorix is too slow. Since Crassus has March, I can just give him an attack item or I'll save medals to get the item which makes you ignore terrain. Arminius isn't that great. Looks good on paper, not good in actual game play. Being immobile is just a detriment, unless of course you're Hannibal who can deal with it.
