Idk. I like the skill personally. It helps a lot when you are demoralized. Plus it is active all the time I find morale to be pretty unimportant in this game because the bonuses and penalties aren’t really that big and it’s super hard to stunlock things because deterrent has a really low proc chance. For me it triggers all the time. I agree with the bonuses not being extraordinarily massive, but they are still helpful as they boost both defense and offense.

So after some testing it seems that a morale boost is... +6% attack... yeah that's not a lot. For a generic lancer that's +4 attack. I guess morale down is -6% for lv1 and -12% for lv2, which is also not huge, but lv3 morale reduction is essentially -100% attack + inability to move.
That means that inspiration is a 20% chance to increase attack by 6% every time a unit fights. That's an average damage increase of 1,2% for every fight, possibly lower even considering that you can get morale boosts from just killing stuff, which means that sometimes inspiration can't even do anything at all.
It helps artillery the most, considering that artillery has the highest attack stats, but Inspiration is still pretty terrible aside for preventing you from reaching that lv.3 morale reduction.

Its an easy way to get a general who has been attacked by a cavarly general to max morale very quickly. Plus I mean 6% damage is still damage. How much does surprise add when you don’t move? I think its a good but not great skill personally then. It is good on fortress busters like massena.
