I intend to build my Commander as an Archer + Mobile General with a bit of high damage output for clearing enemies (to support my planned long range team), indeed I already added Archer Commander and March as his skills (lvl. 2 and 1 respectively)...
I found Mithridates VI to be slow (yet deadly) and I'm thinking of assigning him in my planned tank team...
What skills should I put for my Commander and their pros and cons?
Thanks!

Well, if you already added March and Archer commander for him, it depends on your play style to choose the other two skills. If you need a good hybrid with high defend power, Counter attack + Terrain fighting. If you need raw high output, Terrain fighting + Accuracy. If you need some critical damage, Accuracy + Advantage and remember to put him in high morale or get him the Laurel crown.

If I had made my commander an archer gen, I would get him Archer commander + Accuracy + Advantage/Besiege + Plain fighting... maybe Besiege is better then Advantage coz it’s so much to make your commander become a marshal to equip Laurel Crown, we need raw high output so I think Accuracy + Besiege + Terrain fighting is the best skill set

duclonealfMy Archer commander looks currently like this: Earlier he had had march and accuracy (I guess it was the "anti-cavalry" skill) but change it to terrain skill and counterattack. Edit: I removed march because he was to fast compared to other gens.

Yeah, the anti cavalry skill is not really that important as it is situational and a solid infantry General can deal effectively with cavalry... I'm also considering adding Jungle Fighting skill, as there are many jungle terrain... Hmmm, is the Centurion Shield effective for Generals' 'defense', I equipped mine with Pompeii Gladius and he's kinda effective in dealing with enemy units...

Than give him a defense item as archers are already deadly, survivability should matter a lot as well.

I equipped my low level generals (pacourus and ambiorix (expect Dolabella, he has an crossbow)) with Pompeii gladius to give them more damage, but he doesn't need that. His output is really okay* and he often attacks twice or more in a row. But he is the man in the middle, if he dies then my infantry generals attack is gone immediately. So it's a thing to weigh if more health or defense is better.. If we just have two slots like ew6 *Currently he can wipe out one legion by one hit without Pompeii gladius, but he couldn't do that with two legions even with two Pompeii gladius.

Now he has +7 defense, I guess it's much better than +15% health, hopefully. Advantage is a good skill, but Dolabella has it too. I don't have that much scrolls for both. Maybe I will change that in future, but I think advantage is better if commander has an crossbow too.

Actually, regarding plain fighting. It is a solid skill, but it is also more expensive than jungle fighting, 35 medals vs only 15 for jungle. What do you guys think?

It has 5 attack per level, pf just 4. Pompey has pf too and 2 generals with pf are too expensive to level up, further the scroll are rarely even in the shop. The saved medals could be invested in the generals rank what gives ~5% more attack.
