I really really want to figure out some things that this game doesn't tell me. Let's start off with the ability "Bomb-dropping":
"Increase damage when attacking fortresses and cities" Yeah, but by how much? I went to 1798 Warsaw and used a grenadier with 64 atk and attacked a Prussian lv 2 cities 13 times. I got these numbers: 58, 49, 56, 54, 53, 57, 58, 51, 53, 51, 47, 54, 50. The average of those numbers is 53.1538. Then I used a rifleman with 58 atk to attack the same city. I got these numbers: 17, 19, 20, 19, 16, 17, 17, 20, 19, 18, 18, 20, 19 The average of those numbers is 18.38. 64 atk is roughly 10% more than 58 atk. If the grenadier had 58 attack, then the average damage should be 49.15. 49.15/18.38=2.67 Wow! Bomb-dropping is apparently a staggering +~167% damage to cities!I also tried to figure out how much def a city has. I used three grenadiers with 69 atk in the campaign "Saratoga Campaign" and attacked a large fort with 35 def. I got these numbers: 56, 62, 52, 56, 57, 62, 61, 56, 63, 60, 59, 58, 57. The average of those numbers is 58.3846. 69/64=1.08, 58.3846/1.08=54.06, 54.06/53.1538=1.017 The Fortress took 1.7% more damage than the city. I estimate that the lv. 2 city has something like 36 def. I dunno if I trust my calculations that much. They don't look that correct as Massena does about 80 on the rifleman, but 140 on the grenadier., but that might be because of some weird antics with Tunnel and whatnot. I'll leave this be, maybe someone can datamine the game and find out all these mysteries. I'll take a look at Tunnel later.

Horse grenadier guard: deal as much damage against cities as maxed out napoleon on a siege artillery.

What I do wonder is how much extra damage the commander buff "surprise attack" adds, or the more mobility = the more dmg trait.

It’s supposed to be according to Erich von Manstein a +8-20% damage boost where you get +8% without moving, and +2% every space you move, but I still don’t know exactly how it works. Also please don’t quote the entirety of the first post guys. It huge on a phone.
