Austrian Generals: Not a single bad one in the entire game. Italian generals: not a single good one in the game. Except Lamora of course. I don't get ET. They have greatly valorised generals such as Benedek, Rudolf, Horthy, Tegetthoff and we can't even use them. On the contrary, they let us nerfed generals such as Garibaldi and Bismarck. |

Bismarck is pretty solid. You replace counterattack with plain fighting or aura and he will be better than he was in ew6. The problem is there are still 4 arguably better choices |

If you replace macmahon’s counterattack with tactics master, he will be a better bismarck than bismarck himself. |

Well in ew6, they only had john and karl that were good. Now they have a borevic, krasnik, hotzendorf, horthy, tegethoff, benedek, rudolf, and denta. |

Well in ew6, they only had john and karl that were good. Now they have a borevic, krasnik, hotzendorf, horthy, tegethoff, benedek, rudolf, and denta. Most of these we can’t even buy, though. Unfortunately yes, but even the ones you can buy are among the best in their class. |

The problem is there are still 4 arguably better choices I'm using him in both games. He is still a good general for sure but (in my opinion) not as good as he is in EW6: 1804. The main reason is that he has 4 skills in the sequel, and he lacks Plain Fighting (although we can replace his skills). It is even more true with Garibaldi... Bismarck in EW6: 1804 is clearly among the Top 3 of the best Infantry generals, while it is not anymore the case in EW6: 1914. |

Except Lamora of course. Pretty odd because Austria-Hungary wasn’t really great when it came to their leadership except for Boroevic. Is Armando Diaz in this game? I haven’t seen him yet and he really helped clean up the mess after Cadorna. |

Rudolf or Erzherzog Albrecht(First I confuse with Kronprinz Rudolf) he is great general in Austrian-Italy but his Ideal and influence make k.u.k Armee outdated can’t even match against Serbian. Sometime I real Hotzendorf is not solely blame for Austrian performance in wwi. Albrecht is responsible for reform Austrian Army indeed he copy Preußen Army but his Theory of war is outdate. Can’t even Reform but also make Austrian officer quality worse than before reform. |
