Declare on Bulgaria turn 1. I also bribed the ottomans once but I don’t think that was necessary. Probably did less than what an extra militia unit could do for that conquest. So you didn’t call on allies and exchange it with militia spam? You don’t start with good enough money to bribe that much. Bulgaria is a huge threat and if they’re gone it’s a lot easier, though still rough. Sofia is also just a lot more defensible area than Belgrade because the ottomans can be walled against the strait, if your generals are alive to do that. And also because of distance from Austria-Hungary. |

wait so for the 1914 one star achievement you guys tried Balkans as your easiest country? All 1 stars seem tough, I tried Tribal Union, easily defeated France but other fronts collapsed and I wasnt too sure that I could survive using my rather flimsy units xD
Perhaps Belgium might be possible.

Belgium is easy. Just bribe Germany, Britain and France once and that huge army on your door just explodes. Greece can be tough if you don’t wreck Bulgaria turn 2. Serbia is really nasty and requires luck to beat. |

Thanks, now trying to complete Italy for the last achievement (apart from the 5 nations). |
