the poll is for the colors. with the skills I have which you should remove but if you do not agree with that I would like to hear your comments Personally, I find Inspiration to be a meh skill. It doesn’t do much other than giving a small boost to your general. Even if you intend to use it as a tool against morale drops, it’s too unreliable. Ambush is a bad skill in my opinion. Chance to dodge is too low to be able to rely on it, even if you only rely a bit on it. There is also the fact that in this game, offense is more important than defense. On admirals, true, you SHOULD put defensive skills like Alert and Escort, but in Infantry, you should favor offense over defense. strangely any chance skill on my Robert E Lee works too well. He dodges attacks most of the time, and when I swapped that out for tactics master he once had tactics master activated for four turns in a row (on a heavy machine gunner )

Sometimes we get insanely lucky and sometimes we get insanely unlucky. I’m keeping ambush on my Robert E. Lee too.

method: battle ability + infantry ability = TA (total ability) wich skills a general has aren't taken into account because of books. This is the best possible from of every general. For the cost comparison of books, the skills must meet two things: 1. They are all above average according to the list of Alexyx. 2. The skills are not bad when you combine them, think of attacking and defensive skills and more than one terrain skill (forest and mountains are an exception because they stack). So it doesn't matter to me whether the skills are the best as long as they are good. I know that you guys love Jungle and Mountain Fighting, but when I look at Boroevic, I think “No way! This guy needs FOUR skills to be replaced!” because I find those two terrain bonuses alongside Formation Master and Battle Array useless. Formation Master is tolerable, though, just because it gives you a false sense of usefulness.

Mountain forests are good on those because they don’t get slowed down by terrain. Also, there’s a ton of forests on the map. They’re almost as plentiful as plains.

I don’t like to having to look around the map and deliberately run to the terrain. I’m telling you, forests are plentiful. Only issue is that they slow you down, which doesn’t matter for infantry. There’s very little micromanagement, and micromanagement isn’t even a bad thing unless you have to compromise your plans.
