I think it's going to be 2016 2.0, all major medias claim democratic victory while the result is the complete opposite and they're going to deny the election result or trying to invalidate the electoral college (well if they lost by the rule, they'll change the rule)
I find it very interesting that if you find an American flag on someone's house, you can be (at least) 95% sure they're going to vote Trump. It is now clear to me that most democrats hate the US and its constitution, they hate everything America stands for, and they want to tear down the entire system. The rational democrats either switch to the Republican party or simply staying silent while rethinking about their position.
I think the radical left has created a terrible image for the democratic party and is now dominantly controlling it. It's no longer about different interpretations of the US constitution and values, but pure hatred of everything America stands for.
It's sad to think about it, because there are also good and reasonable people on the left (mostly the left-leaning centrists), but the radical left is something else. Think about it, the right has set up a line on 'how far is to far right?', that is when you believe in racial superiority or that people should be treated differently based on race. The alt-right is more like a 'white-supremacist left' it's a complete separate entity from the right (I even find it more similar to the left than to the right, only with white and Asian supremacist). But the left hasn't set up that the line, the further you go right the more you want to be free from government (except the alt-right of course), but further left you go the more you hate everything that's in America and ultimately the extreme radical alt-left. The idea of centrist left is that there many things need to be fixed in the US (that is of course correct, in fact for any countries in the world), but they don't hate the constitution and the American core values.
Here's what I have to say about misconceptions on right wingers and conservatives:
- We don't hate or deny the rights of black people (and other POC), women, LGBTs, immigrants, or any religion (in fact, many of those people I mentioned above are strong conservatives, although the mainstream media never tells you)
- We don't like the alt-right (the radical right). We hate it as much as we hate the radical left ideology, they're terrible people with destructive ideas. The KKK, white (and Asian) supremacists, white nationalists, etc they're all disgusting people, they think people should be judged and treated differently based on skin color (just like the alt-left, but reversed).
- We don't think race matters at all and we're are sick to talk about it. Let's all have normal lives; whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, native Americans, etc all people live in peace without racial prejudice. You are YOU not your race, don't let anyone tell you how to think or vote based on your skin color.
- We don't hate the democrats or leftists, we just disagree with their ideas (mainly the idea of hating America) and we're open to discuss it with them or anyone who wants to have a civil discussion (no rocks or molotovs allowed )

Sun Li-jen of the Glorious RoC, wow I didn't know that you kept such a good tab on elections and the current situation. BTW, how old are you and where do you live? Cuz this odesn't sound like something that a child/tennager would be interested in. I think it's mostly an adult topic.

Grades are better than ever honestly. The only semester when I am starting off with high marks on my exams (last semester, I started with 2 D’s, now with 2 A’s on the first two exams). And I am taking the break off to relax rather than to work. It’s working out quite well for me ironically. Spoke too soon. I just had 4 hws, 2 labs, and 2 midterms in one week and barely survived. No more 4.0 gpa haha.

Interestingly, I'm 16 and I'm not even American, but I'm keeping a close eye in politics (especially American politics as well as China). So what are your sources for your standpoint? News, rallies, street interviews, articles, even comment sections (YouTube and Instagram). I first didn't know there was such polarization, I thought everyone were kinda centrists. I wasn't surprised by the radical right because I thought America was racist in the past but it's improved a lot, no wonder there are just very few people on the alt-right (comparatively) and they don't hold any powers in the US. They're just a few backwards-thinking people which can be ignored. But I was really surprised by the radical left, the ones hating America, its constitution, and everything it stands for. They even want SOCIALISM.
I stand with conservatism because it conserves American values. Almost everything I hear from the right (conservatives) sounds like common sense to me. And I don't want America to be another communist China, USSR, North Korea, Cuba, or Venezuela. America is the beacon of light in the world. If even America falls into darkness, the rest of the world would soon follow, all other countries would have to learn about socialism the hard way.
I was astonished as I watched the US eliminate terrorists and other western countries started to condemn the US, their news created an image of the US as an oppressor and the terrorists as the victims. I mean, come on, they are literally terrorists killing thousands (if not millions) of people (even their own people). Osama bin Laden, Qassem Soleimani, Abu Bakkar Al-Baghdadi, just to name a few.
My words for Americans:
You have taken practically everything in life for granted; your properties, your economy, even your freedom. You don't how much they meant to other people out there. Everything that you have was produced by hardworking people; your clean water, your house, your food, and your properties. You're not entitled to all of it simply because you exist, those things need to be produced. Of course you can't produce it all by yourself, that's why we trade. Give something to other people so that they want to exchange the goods they produce with your products/services. Capitalism doesn't force you to live a capitalist life, you can make a community, live in farms, produce things, and redistribute it through your community. But you can't live a capitalist live in a communist country, because communism relies on excessive force in order to be implemented (Karl Marx said it himself). It's easy being communist in a free country, but try being free in a communist country.
The United States is literally the best country in the world. Period.

Due to slavery and racism, the majority of the african american population lives in ghettos in the us. However, they recieve some sort of reparations be it in the form of welfare or other means for how they were treated in the past. They also are much more likely to get accepted into a prestigious university than someone with good grades but white. They are most likely to vote democrat. A large population of white people in the us live in no better living conditions such as trailer parks. However, they do not recieve any sort of reparations and them getting accepted into a college is far less likely. So they feel as tho they are being cheated in this situation, and racism often comes up. If there is a black lives matter protest, there will be many conservatives protesting against the black lives matter protestors. These people are most likely to vote republican. It’s really not a great situation for either side, and both sides have good arguments

You should get additional quality sources. And try to train your median competence, especially if you can't get authentic impressions. Just one point to reflect: Without any doubt - the vast majority of the democrats are straight patriots - like the vast majority of all Americans. You don't need utb to find this out. Just 20 seconds to resume. So maybe your sources have an bias ... your turn 20 seconds brainwork.

It’s really not a great situation for either side, and both sides have good arguments Yes, the US was racist and oppressive in the past, but it's improved a lot. The reason I disagree with the idea of reparations is because the overwhelming majority of today's African Americans's ancestors came to the US voluntarily from Africa, rather than through slavery. It wouldn't be fair to tell people to pay reparations based on skin color. Imagine if I were a white immigrant in the US, and when I first came I'm told to pay reparations for people neither me nor my ancestors have anything to do with, besides most African American's ancestors came to the US voluntarily to seek better lives. And many black people oppose reparations too, because they feel extremely insulted. More and more black people are switching to the republican right now, you can tell by the ratio of black people in BLM protests vs in Trump rallies. Do you know, in the past Asian Americans were treated even worse than black people? Japanese Americans were put in concentration camps during WWII. But nowadays Asian (including Japanese) Americans make up the highest income group. Also SAT tests don’t only have lower standards for black people, they also have higher standards for Asians. About the BLM protests (aka mass lootings, burnings, and violence), it's not about reparations (although they also support it), but more about police brutality (triggered by George Floyd's death). There are 3 possibilities in George Floyd's case: 1. An evidence was released indicating that George Floyd didn't die from suffocation by the police, he had drugs and he's said "I can't breathe" before the police even touched him. So maybe the police's action had nothing to do with his death 2. The police was indeed brutal, but not racially motivated, just some unprofessional police officers 3. The police was brutal and racially motivated But none of those possibilities justify the burnings, lootings, and violence across the country. Besides, the police aren't systemically racist, it's been proven that the police aren't racially biased. If a misconduct happened, it’s mostly on an individual level. Do you know, in the past Asian Americans were treated even worse than black people? Japanese Americans were put in concentration camps during WWII. But nowadays Asian (including Japanese) Americans make up the highest income group. If you’re talking about counter BLM protests, those have happened. The Trump rallies are called ‘peaceful protest against stupidity’. And they’re actually peaceful protests, they don’t burn, loot, or destroy anything. They are patriotic rallies, the worst thing they do is mentioning their political opponents’ bad policy records (I don’t know if it’s even bad). But their rallies are mostly about how much they love America and their pride for their local state (I watch many Trump rallies on YouTube).

Yes, of course the extremists I saw and heard aren't representative of the democratic party (because most people don't really care about politics anyways), but I think the moderates are passive and they hate Trump without even knowing the reason. Also the major medias, the universities, they teach bad things about America and they silence voices those are different from them. One thing for sure, the alt-left is a much greater risk than the dying alt-right.

The reason I said 'white (and Asian) supremacy' was because most alt-right people don't think whites as the highest race in their order, they put Asians higher because of their IQ. I believe the white supremacist and alt-right groups are very small and they're dying. President Trump has constantly condemned white supremacists multiple times on multiple occasions, but he also condemned the proud boys which I don't think are supremacists at all.

But their rallies are mostly about how much they love America and their pride for their local state (I watch many Trump rallies on YouTube). The japanese imo were nowhere near treated as badly as black people in the us. The concentration camp era, while not america’s best moment, only lasted for a period of 4 years, whereas racism towards african americans lasted from the 1600s to the 1960s. If you watch a movie such as django unchained, you’ll see how cruelly slaves were treated, from being castrated to killed illegally. Japan quickly become one of the us’ best allies after and the mistreatment of the japanese ended really quickly. It’s not america’s best movement, but it was a necessity as the japanese were enemies of the us and the general public would have mistreated them during the war. But at the same time tho, the italians and germans in the us weren’t really forced into concentration camps so there was definitely some unfairness to the japanese americans. You are right. Black people should not be treated specially from other races. But a lot of the situation with police brutality towards black people in general exists from the fact that people are stuck living in ghettos as a result of the racism in the past and have very little to no way of moving up in society. It’s really a bad situation for everyone in the united states. That and since the elections are upcoming, tensions seem to be at their maximum. Whether or not george floyd was suffocated like that, it was extremely wrong to have a person pinned down to the ground with a knee, especially if there were 3 other police officers nearby. Not to mention the cop who indirectly killed george floyd had a record for being extremely abusive and violent. Burning and rioting is never the answer I agree. But police brutality is a huge issue in the united states.

Yes, the US was racist and oppressive in the past, but it's improved a lot. Police brutality doesn't exist on a systemic level. Maybe the police was unprofessional, but generally they aren't biased to shoot more black people. The reason black people are disproportionately shot by police is because black people commit crimes at a disproportionately higher rate too. Study even found that white police officers are slightly more likely to shoot a white person than a black person in the same scenario, and black cops shoot black people at a higher rate while white cops.
The point is, I don't believe racial bias exist at a systemic level in police department. Some cops are bad, brutal, and racist. I agree, but the overwhelming majority of them aren't, they're one of the finest people in the US risking their lives to protect the country.
