Huh. It's not like you can grind for a better navy general, like Beatty or Hipper. It's not like you can upgrade free naval generals insanely. But wait. You can do those things, so why not? I can, but why upgrade a free naval gen insanely when I can just trade Lee's Battle Array for TM and make him better than any free navy (and Infantry)? And, Honestly, at least in my experience, Medals (as opposed to coins) are hard to come by. You can't do 1865 Bulgaria over and over for Medals. I spend all my medals on Land gens, really. The free navy plus Lee is enough for most navy missions. Just farm missions. I got Sidney Johnson solely with daily missions. And TM is a pretty double edged sword, as inf. is pretty fragile, and you can't heal freely. And literally, Straussenburg can be better with full inf. skills. Once again, the only thing Lee has over Straussenburg is the (small) defense bonus. And if medals are so hard to farm, Lee is the most expensive and Straussenburg is about 650 medals.
