Oh and macarthur is only duke whereas borevic is very good but has unideal terrain bonuses (but has two of them so he can be very flexible). So I guess either stick to ambush or get borevic. I agree also. My ideal general would be without ambush. It would straussenberg with inf master and tactics master instead of mf and ambush. But Robert E Lee has horrendous skills that are far worse than ambush. Haig has pretty decent skills, but his worst are better than ambush. Straussenberg has ambush as well, but also mf. Well, Straussenberg only needs 2 skills to be replaced to, in my opinion, become an ideal general. So I’m willing to get him unlike pretty much any other Infantry general. Going to make an exception out of Gallwitz since he costs coins. Also going to replace Nicholas I’s Tunnel and Alert with Infantry Master and Tactics Master, since he is free. (And temporarily use MacArthur for the Cuban history mode mission). I’m also willing to get Krasnik. I don’t mind the fact that he has 3 skills, all of them are really good and the fact that he starts as a Baron allows him to get a nice amount of battle ability and his Prince max title helps. He is arguably the 6th best cavalry general in the game, and for someone that costs coins and needs no skill replacement, it’s a bargain. I agree with all of those points. You are saving your medals for some other purpose. Very smart. I might also make nicholas i my final inf. I think teodorov is better than krasnik even though duke. He has surprise, which is far better than edge. He also has mountain fighting so he moves extremely fast. Plus he is free. But albrecht is also like you said a fantastic option. Another interesting choice would be wilhelm ii who starts off at king (high defense) but his skills are terrible. Very tempting to get him and invest some textbooks.

Oh wait shoot, I am *Auto Corrected*ed, krasnik is an aura general. Yes by that means, he is pretty solid. All 3 of his skills are great. He will be a cool general to purchase.

Gone, Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, I don’t get it why are you saving up so much medals? Medals are easy to get in ew6 1914, I got myself Haig, e lee, Straussenburg, Beseler, Ivanov, Hindenburg, Johnston, hipper and Beatty and I don’t have a medal shortage at all.

I guess we are all preparing for the unexpected. After all, I am pretty sure no one has seen all of the history missions yet. What if we need to mass-purchase some history mode generals? If we recklessly spend medals we will not be able to sufficiently prepare for that scenario

And there are a lot of medals still left I would estimate about 3000-3500 that will be more then enough

Personally I'm hanging onto 1800 medals as a safety line, so there will be a need to save up, but yes if you decide to focus on coin and free generals instead then 3000 plus is more than enough to work around with

Its a good idea to have 1000 in reserve but I do agree. There are still many great coin generals for history mode.

I’m only buying medal generals if I actually need them (Struassenberg, Plumer, Johnston, Beseler, Ivanov, Hindenburg, Hipper, Beatty). For History Mode, going to keep the better generals for it.

Me too. I will be saving the medals for the silver medals and textbooks. Because we will only get 1-2 per day.
