If there is one small positive, I could be able to be Darth Vader very soon.

My guess is my school will be out on Tuesday since there's going to be a faculty meeting on Monday. Some of my friends in nearby towns already have their schools shutting down so it should just be a matter of time for me.

Schools are usually the place where you catch and illness from. I just hope it doesn’t last particularly long.

My country is very relaxed even though we are near the epicenter of the pandemic. No schools closed, almost nobody is wearing a mask. This is too complacent to be a good sign...

I live in São Paulo, which is one of Brazil’s states. The state governor closed all public schools. And today I got word that my school, which is a private one, has suspended classes for students that can afford to stay at home with their parents. This suspension will last until next Monday, when the school will close for all students. My fellow classmates and I believe that the teachers will ask us to write digitalized texts and homework. Not an issue, it’s much better than online classes in my opinion.

Europe is not doing well, although most countries have excellent healthcare systems (the only countries outside of Europe that can compete with them are Japan, South Korea and Taiwan), it is difficult to get the virus under control. The death rate of the virus is only 2% but 20% has to go to intensive care so the hospitals are starting to fill up in Italy, Spain and France. Nor does it help that most European countries are democracies and so it is difficult to take extreme measures.
I personally think that we will not be the last and that outbreaks should still be expected in the USA, South Asia, Africa and South America. And it can become a huge problem if outbreaks occur in economically less developed countries where health care is worse. We also had stock market crashes in Asia, Europe and America on several days this week and a global crisis is almost inevitable where unaffected countries will be affected as well.

Africa is doing surprisingly well at the moment
