I agree. You could give hotzendorf mf and jf. He’ll lose that 15% extra damage from artillery expert but he will still be very good. Or hindenberg but invest 30 textbooks into him. 5 skills are optimal and I’m not willing to spend 30 skill books.

He’ll have the ideal skill set just not at max level. Or sacrifice on either mountain or tactics master on hidnenberg.

There is also the argument about Macmahon being a must-have for the French History Mode missions if we don’t get to play as the Germans there.

I replaced counterattack with jungle personally. Imo jungle is a mandatory skill on any general of any unit Except navy, of course. In the sea did it‘s count seaweed as a Jungle?
