I am new to the game. I currently have Sulkowski, Sophia, Kate and Latour. I plan to get Victoria and scrap Kate to Sophia and scrap Latour for Victoria. I am a free to play gamer. Therefore I will have only 4 generals which means only best three princess I could keep. I expect to get Lan and Golytsm or someone else with full stars next. So I need to know Isabella or Sophia is good for overall performance. A four slot game is hard. And as you pointed out correctly - you just can plan three slots - long after finishing the campaign (420) you can think about 'filling the last slot' I think as an common sence, we can say two of this three princess are Lan and Isabella. Who can be princess Nr3? Victoria, Sophia, Kate, Sakurako, Fatima or Maria? Maria Witout a doubt the last of all, I'sorry: you are out. Fatima Great for the campaign wjen you have at least six slots. Kate Can help in the naval SNS missions as an temporary slot4 filler otherwise - no use. Serious candidates: Sophia, Victoria and Sakurako. Victoria: I have absolutely no use for her. Two random art skills, massfire replaceable but gives one hand free for secondary attack item + evasion skill (the must have!). Not much if you don't SL massively - and infantry. There a few infantry based missions in the campaign, but for all these Lan is the better choice because of Leadership. Imo Useless. Sophia: She is nice and pushes you through the game, but: To have Sophia finished is a very, very expensive story - she is (situational) really great, but with only 4 slots it is better not to spend too much - I bought an extra slot just to keep and train Sophia - for my fun - with four slots she has to go. My Sophia is still not finished, but with a few thosand 🎖 I already spend, she can be used sometimes with the elite princess. It needs planning the missing evasion skill is for some conquests an immense handycap - she is now comparable with my un-Diezed Isabella (still Sophia < Isabella) Sakurako: With Lan (Cavalry, Infantry) and Isabella (Artillery) Sakurako as Hybrid is the perfect complement for a tight f2p-headquarter. There is a nice thread about Sakurako - for me the game changerLeave the fourth slot for trainers. When you want to continue playing, to bring all your three princess to 5 trade is only one of the reasons why slot 4 can be only for trainers. |

Thank you guys for your advice. I can hopefully improve my game now. Welcome to the board! I wont repost too much, all of my opinions about free to play are in the Free to play, no grinding topic. In Victoria's defense, her naval stars are also a big help in the last campaign. |

Sophia is the only princess who we can't decide whether to keep or not when playing with 4 slots. She is really expensive. but excellent when trained and helps a lot. Others -
Lan - of course
Isabella - Yes
Victoria - Yes
Sakurako- For those who like cavalry generals or Sophia
Kate - only until the American campaign
Fathima - mostly no
Maria - Never

(Training her is so expensive) Victoria hmmm - Infantry is the less useful unit - she has nice stars for 3 or 4 naval missions in Sns. With Lan I have already a better Infantry general on board. Isabella is imo the best untrained princess but to worthfull to let her waiting. Like Sophia, Sakurako starts also with two stars: Sophia's Explosives raises the netMaximum +6 the netAverage +3 Sophia will loose .in more than half the fieldbattles 5%-20%- due to topographic evasion (hills, trees) Sophia looses on non 1798 conquests 1-2% on every fight Sophia gets +50 against forts, Better: +20 - 50% Some forts are on a hex with a hill or tree Sophia is missing one movement. Sophia - full trained - is fun to play. I bought a slot for her - with only four or five slots she has to go one time and so its better not to invest in her. |

I think the game also recognizes thus dilemna so thats why you get 3 emblems before SNS.

Please don't say he is not an hybrid as you only mentioned "Naval" I agree with the argumentation of Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus. Ushakov is a better choice than Sidney. None of them is needed, I doubt if even useful. An Admiral is in EW4 not necessary, the last campaign has a few navy missions (3 or 4) early is Sidney a bad buy. |
