PagetPrice: 6 Emblems Type of General: Cavarly Starting Movement: 4 hexes light cavarly and heavy cavarly, 3 hexes horse grenadiers and armored car. Paget is a slightly upgraded version of bennigsen, or in other words bennigsen with strike. While Paget is certainly not a bad general, other iaps for 6 emblems like Dabrowski or Murat are easily better options. Furthermore, Sulkowski is a good cavarly general to purchase with strike due to his price performance. They should have Gave him a star next to speed, would have help the mobility trait and added economic master. An extra movement star might have actually made the difference between yellow and orange tier. Paget is good, he is just not that good.

BlucherPrice: Too much Type of General: Garbage (only Slightly redeemable on Infantry) Starting Movement: Garbage Ladies and Gentlemen, we have the worst iap purchase you can ever make. Yeah, this guy is not good. On cavarly, he is a slower Suchet without Spy. So you can only use him on heavy cavarly and light cavarly. Since he has no skills, he'll die quickly making him useless. The only other unit he can command is infantry. On infantry, he is Maria who we already get (and barely use). He is terrible at everything else. Why is he so bad? He is pretty good in ew5 and ew6. In this game, what happened. Ok, I am going to stop talking about him before I throw up. Now, I give Lassalle some much needed scolding from time to time, but with good reason. But compared to this guy, he doesn't seem all that bad. This guy is not only a terrible iap, but also absolutely terrible anytime you are given him in campaign or conquests. *Sighs* I actually thought he was great back then when I had no idea what I was doing simply because he had 5 stars in cavalry. He actually looks pretty impressive in game because he's always on a double stacked Guard Cavalry (great) and you don't really have much to compare him if you don't know what you're doing. I don't think he's horrible when he's given to you for free simply because 5 star in cavalry is still serious damage and Guard Cavalry is great. He's a terrible buy though, that's for certain, but honestly most IAPs in EW4 are. He is always on fantastic units that’s for certain. But he also is extremely fragile on them as he only has 3 training stars. If you use him wisely, you could be able to get him through the mission, but he would be super beat up by then.

They shouldn't have added formation skill because he is to be a Calvary general. Another almost useless skill is the banner skill. I would have replaced formation with strike and added assault art or surprise.

Alexander IPrice: 6 Emblems Type of General: Infantry & Cavarly Hybrid Starting Movement: 2 hexes on grenadiers and guards, 3 hexes on horse grenadier guards, 2 hexes on siege artillery. Alexander I is literally just Arnold with more training stars. Arnold is a first tier, buisiness general with Spy, 5 training stars, and a business trainer. The only real notable disadvantage he has to alexander is that he does not have any movement stars (fixable with items). So you are getting an iap for a job that someone cheap for 500 medals can do. Not a good idea. While Alexander does have some nice potential due to his training stars, its better to get an iap for fortress destroying. His offensive ability is nonexistant and he is still very slow. Even if you put him on Horse Grenadiers, which is his starting strength, he will dissappoint in his output. Don't get him! But in the campaign he has his big moment - I used him long. In Battle of Austerlitz in the coalition campaign he is one of the given Generals - he has 5⭐ business and as long as you don't have a 5⭐ trader one save-slot with him in Prague or Vienna is reserved for him to sell unused items and campaign⭐ for 4🏅 So he has prooved his use - but not as IAP !

Yep! We are very thankful for that. Although he has really bad movement so its a while till he gets to Vienna

I would have replaced formation with strike and added assault art or surprise. He needs at least 2 skill changes to be comparable to radetsky. But even then, radetsky is hands down better. His skill set is terrible, not a single good skill for his cavarly side.

PoniatowskiPrice: 6 Emblems Type of General: Is equally good at everything Starting Movement: Inf: 3 hex light infantry, 2 hex everything else Cavarly: 4 hex on light cavarly, 3 hex on everything else Artillery: 2 hex on everything Navy: 3 hex on frigate, 2 hex on iron clad and battleship. As good of an iap as Dombrowski and Murat for 6 Emblems. Can command literally every unit in the game, but is the best on artillery, infantry, and navy. Will be expensive to make him good at everything, but if you grind through it, poniatowski will provide a consistently good performance. Me: “So Poniatowski? What kind of unit do you want to command?” Poniatowski: Yes Daily reminder that this guy is one of the iap goats. He manages to be pretty strong on any unit you place him on. He is like Sakurako on steroids. Fantastic general.

The only best 6 emblems general.Davout costs 8 right? If he has suprise/strike instead of fireproof he can make a better calvary general that Davout. At the same time, this skill makes him an excellent admiral..

I would request siege actually over fireproof. If he had siege, he would be just an overpowered monster of a hybrid. I noticed that Davout has a bit of a weakness towards city attacking (which he has assualt art to compensate for). As siege is universal, that would make Poniatowski even better on everything. He is still really good though. I think I would get him over Dabrowski as a 6 emblem general. In terms of maximum potential, he has a lot to offer.

Actually I named my account just because he got so screwed over. Therefor my finger refuses to press like, though your evaluation of the game version is absolutely correct.

TrevillePrice: 6 Emblems Type of General: Navy Hybrid Starting Movement: 4 hexes on frigates, 3 hexes on iron clads and battleships Treville is Sidney, after he has been regrouped once. But even Sidney is not that great as there are much better generals in the middle tier. Yeah, Treville is not recommended whatsover. One of the worst purchases you can make. Especially since Kate is easy to unlock who is him with fireproof. Why do you call him a hybrid? He offers neither skills nor stars for any land unit.

Any unit specific ability would disturb the artwork. Siege is indeed the only imaginable upgrade. Even on navy I never found Fireproof very relevant. Fire doesn’t cost that much HP and often stops a round later.

He is an iap and the second best (first is murat) general in ew6. Heck, even in Ew5 he is either the second best or the best cavarly general in the game. So its only in this game where napoleon and blucher are bad haha.

Archduke CPrice: 8 Emblems Type of General: Infantry & Cavarly Hybrid Starting Movement: 3 hexes on all infantry except Machine Gunners, 2 hexes on machine gunners, 4 hexes on light and heavy cavarly, 3 hexes on horse grenadiers and armored cars. Archuke Charles is essentially Sakurako w/o Accurate. Other than an extra training stars, and better stars in some areas, Archduke Charles isn't much of an improvement. Why get an iap whose job a princess can do just fine. Not recommended. I was waiting for your analysis - The Archeduce C you get in HRE as a starter General in Vienna (on triple guards!) is doing a great job - he is one of the rare starting generals who can work solo on a front line (west Ottoman front - Beograd Athens / Izmir), so I was curious to read your evaluation Comparing an IAP general with one elite princess (Sakurake is the Elite Hybrid Princess) is problematic, the girls just have small clouds on their shining setup. Don't you buy IAP's just to get them? Once again your review was 'at the point and widened my horizon. Thank you!
