I have been playing the new conquest challenges, and have been finding it very difficult to finish the achievements on 1865. I have very powerful generals, and have managed to do Cuba and the CSA, the remaining countries being Columbia, Peru, and France. Since your ally in North America will always lose now, I think you really have to gun it for Florida, and work up the east coast. That's how I did it with Cuba. At the very least, I believe the challenge conquests may put to end hopes of auto-conquests! Will report back on my strategy later.

Playing 3 star in cc are still easy, as well as some two stars that is in already in the front war. I am playing bavaria as one star, and i have to repeat after failing to kill austria. France is just a f* hell, the first part is easy, can conquer the whole south americas in about 5-10 turns. However the same turns the united states falls. Tried to land at florida, but it cost a general or two, but succeed captured some in the east coast. However, when the last forces of the coalition came to the front, Iโm already screwed. Ivanov is the only one who survived, but its too late to turm the tides now, so I have to restart again. Given that I am already in max tech w/o additional upgrades from CCs and already strong gens, i guess that easytech abused their buffs in the enemy tech. Its way stronger and harder than the 1815 conquest, as the 1815 one is already hard at least.

Feels like history mode, just with a larger spam

The only thing that makes these conquests doable is that you have okay allies, and can use any general you can buy

Feels like history mode, just with a larger spam Easytech should have made a balancing. They made the allied tech lower than the max tech w/o medal upgrades, and thats why the enemy makes easy breakthrough, and that makes playing one and some two star nations extremely hard.

Another theory for the new super hard challegge conquests, WC2 style: You only have to beat the ones that will give you the tech upgrades as achievements, then MAYBE you can come back and be on par with the AI

Good point
