Herbert Plumer is way better than McClellan. He has 5 skill slots, better stats.

He was good at first but now with so many history mode considerations (Joffre, Stepanovic, Jackson, Moltke, Plumer; def enough cav gens), plus the lack of a confederate history mode, johnston would not be used much. If you want someone other than Jackson, plumer and moltke, pick stepanovic

I have Pierce and surprise attack, with the bonus against infantry. Pierce was a good option, since Stepanovic on an Armored Car or a Tank can deal more damage with a 100% defense penetration of 20%, especially to heavy armored artillery units or cavalry.

I've pierce just on hipper while ship's have the highest defense.

I’ve gotten my Frunze to Emperor and he can deal up to like 206 normal damage if Pierce triggers.

I've pierce just on hipper while ship's have the highest defense. Cavalry has the highest defense. And you don’t actually want to use pierce against high defense units. Pierce is more effective against enemies with lower defense. Anyway, Plumer. I don’t see much reason to get McClellan now outside History Mode. It’s unfortunate that Plumer is pretty bad in the one history mission he’s deployable in.
