I find lists extremely helpful in modding here, on stuff like btl editing they are mandatory I say.

Can you download one and see if it works? (To make sure it works make sure data files say "attack" and not text.) |

I plan of making a GCR mod but, it will only have map and Portrait changes to do the data files being encrypted. Anyway. How to make a Unlock Apk?- You must wait for exactly a year or when a new game is realased and you must get permission by Staff.
- Make sure you find the real one or if there isn't one find one online BUT, only use app/play store as a last resort.
- Make sure to scan it before downloading and find a way to be able to enter the game.
- DON'T mod it yet and when you have resigned it send it to Staff to improve.
- When it has been scanned, transfer it into a file sharer and make sure link gives access to everyone with link.

After doing some modding, I'm gonna post my first lesson. (WC4 scenarios) How to change level objectives from attacking to defending (as in hold the ground, defence scenarios, etc.) You will need: - An APK editor and a Hex editor - BLT file guide (unless you have photographic memory) found here: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/9609/wc4-btl-guide- After going into your hex editor, I suggest changing your "bytes per line" to 8. This can usually be found in settings Procedure: 1. Go to byte 30 (line 7) and change whatever value it is to 02. (tip: 00 and 01 are offensive missions, and I assume 03 and up is for accumulate supplies, etc. but I haven't tried them out yet) 2. Go to "min" and "max" rounds, which are on bytes 34 and 38 respectively (line 7.5 and line 8). When the victory condition is defense, the min rounds becomes the amount of rounds you must survive, and max rounds becomes the amount of objectives (red circles on game map) you must hold. Change it to whatever you want, but make sure that you don't make max rounds more than the amount of red circles, otherwise you won't be able to get three stars when playing. 3. Go to each country's byte "package". Each country contains 300 bytes, or 37.5 lines of code. Usually the country you play as is the first country, starting on byte 80. Go to the 1C byte of your country (three lines down and four bytes to the right from the first byte) and change whatever number's there to 03. Note: If you don't hold any red circle cities in the beginning of the level, you're gonna lose on turn 1. So chances are if you don't want that to happen you'll have to do some map editing. |

Good job making your first Guide, how much have finished in your mod? I've decided that I'm gonna make my mod in fragments, so I'm just gonna finish the Europe theatre before releasing it for people to try out. Right now, I'm done three easy scenarios, and one hard scenario, so that's 4 out of 22, but the code changes are really easy so I'll probably be able to finish before the end of the week. |
