Has anybody thought Space advancements? They are exciting!! Why do we need said space advancements, though? My prediction is that oil prices will skyrocket, thus making the world try to turn to alternative fuel, which in turn makes fuel cheaper, but then oil/petroleum will be less commonplace by now, so alternative fuel, (yes, the extremely inefficient alternative fuel we all know and love), will be the new petroleum. What!! You do realize that we are always at risk if we are a one planet species. For starters, we are in the middle of an interglacial period, which means there will be another ice age in the next 10000 years. Yellowstone is predicted to burst in the next 100,000 years. Somebody ( don't remember the name) said - Dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't had a space program and it would be fitting if the same happens to is too.

On other planets, by terraforming them. I have a book regarding this but unfortunately, we are not allowed to share licensed products.

I actually have a pretty optimistic view of the future. I think technology like carbon sequestration will solve climate change once the threat becomes more immediate. So many of the worlds resources are wasted on military and luxury goods, there is a lot of slack in production to make more useful items.
The precursor to the industrial revolution was a scientific one spurred by the invention of the printing press. The internet is like that, but on speed. This community is a great example. Technology will solve all problems.

I always felt that Humans are destined to rule the universe but the next 20-30 years are very crucial for human survival. Technology will propel us to the stars and I intend to contribute to it. Read Michio Kaku's book - The future of Humanity. It is just about that.

This is already supporting life and you can't stay here forever. The sun will expand into a Supernova and then, the earth is... poof! Crisp if you prefer.

I think a shift of power towards China is inevitable unless the E.U steps up, the U.S will continue it's slow collapse and will 😭 sadly never recover of the blow of all the occurring events, a move towards a greener earth could happen unless it is stopped by the growing fascist wave. Probably a few years of economic depression and more radical views will help the growing radical (on both sides) movement. If the U.S or another major power doesn't set a precedent of ending growing polarization., we are going to be in a "bit" of trouble.☹️

Rising power - India But on which side ? Neither. India will be independent, unless China mends it's ways and mind's it's own business. Though, the RIC (Russia, China, India) alliance against the west will be an interesting scenario and the only thing stopping that is Chinese misbehaviour.

I am surprised your little blue planet has so many factions. It seems you Terrestrials can't get along.

Yeah. Unfortunately *sighs* Don't worry John Marston . When I take your planet it will be under one banner. I am waiting for that. You can do it in the RP if you're comfortable.
