Thank you two for the answers! But i think i'm misunderstood. i know that the 'gamespeed' itself is an integer, and its maximum is 5 (and that it is in the global_data-file). But as i found out, it is possible to make the animation for the attacks faster, in my case i used that in the file def_motion.xml by adding speed="9" to the army militia as example. Thats why i was wondering, if its also possible to increase the animation, with which the units walk. And I think by decreasing "movement-cost", my units are able to walk further, but not faster, right? I think, to understand, what you achieved, you tuned the annimation -- nice done !! - may you can make a how-to, please. The question is, are the fightings shorter overall. You have also the timetrack to play with... I know from EW4: Gamespeed in settings affects: a) speed of movement b) scrolling speed But: - the battle-animations are always at the same speed |

Yes exactly! And thank you! Well the following is the text in the def_motion.xml file. I only added 'speed="9"' after the '(...)1.12' and '(...)1.03', which makes the shooting animation much faster. Thats especially useful for the rocket i think, because that animation is so terribly slow. Following the code:
<Motion name="Militia standing shooting" type="attack" at="1.12" speed="9" effect="militia"/>
<Motion name="Militia squat shooting" type="attack" at="1.03" speed="9" effect="militia"/>
The game i have atm is only lacking the 'lost time' while waiting for my armies to walk, the fights itself are now incredibly fast.
And yes, the gamespeed affects speed of movement. So thats why i was wondering if there is a possibility to increase that too.
