Procimus, fair points. You don't see ads for ET games everywhere, and the government is another issue.

I think the golden rule is to " follow the money", so in the case of the Russian company they make their revenue in several ways: 1/A successful subscription based model, it gives perks and extras to the paying players but without destroying the ability of free-to-play gamers to compete. 2/Events: people tend to spend a lot more when they compete against other players rather than against the AI. 3/Smart advertisements: basically in game ads for everything but players dont have to watch any of them if they dont want to.
Most important factor here is all 3 of these revenue streams are secure and protected, they cannot be cracked by players and so the company ability to earn their income is protected. In other words it doesn't matter what method a company decides to make their money on but what ever it is that they choose it needs to be secure.

Darth Vader, speaking of Russian companies, this video was sponsored by Raid Shadow Legends.
But I guess the model is, the more money you put in by advertising, the more money you get out, since even though people are annoyed at videos being sponsored by such and such a game, the sheer amount of advertising they do just etches their brand name into your head.

That's point, they make it impossible to gain a resource which is really important so you must watch add constantly.

Never forget: what google calls worldwide is less than the half of the internet.
Probable for ET, with a gigantic home market, just a small (uninterresting) segment - I didn't notice any marketing from ET in the 'google controlled hemisphere'.

The problem is China's giant firewall which makes it almost impossible for Chinese companies to post things on western websites. Here's a few of the richest companies in China, and I bet most people have never heard of them: Alibaba, ICBC, Tencent, Geely, etc. The only way these guys can make money is by collaborating with western companies, as Tencent did for PUBG mobile, and Huawei tried to do with 5G networks. ET is actually pretty big in China, as their Baidu forums have tons of activity, but here in the west the only people who play new games that ET releases are usually people who have already known their brand for years.

That is why Easytech needs to use it's two heads. They have most of their company in China and some in The Western Hemisphere. They could use there Western part to advertise and the Chinese part to bulid games. Though, it would be costly to do it but easytech could gain much revune.

I didn't expected an overwhelming problem for Chinese companies to sell in other parts of the world. When I open the small alibaba: amazon, I find a lot of direct Chinese offers. I imagined that ET is a well known developer in China - with a home market of this size it is a (unnecessary ?) risk to go for an international rollout without a good finance and marketing partner
