I figured it was more polite to discuss my team here in my own thread rather than to continue to derail the other one linkI'm pinching your idea of the field hospital stoic but I'm going to try and incorporate Joan into it, and as it's infantry based Caesar has to be in it too, so possibly something like this: Inf: Caesar, Barbarossa, Alex, Joan/Peter/Xerxes Cav: Saladdin Arch: Mocte/Nobby Art: Koxinga/Bismarck I seriously doubt I'll be able to carry both Joan & Xerxes all the way, but perhaps one of them... Anyway these are my thoughts at the start but infantry units are the ones I have the least experience with, and decisions will have to be taken along the way based on tactical necessities, so I thought it would be interesting (for me at least!) to see how the actual final lineup compares to these initial ideas. I've given up on Joan, she brings nothing apart from cure master and that's just not enough. Current intention: Caesar, Barbarossa, Richard, Xerxes, Peter Nelson, Nobunaga Li Shimin Infantry are too vulnerable to cavalry so I need to be able to deal with them, and the lack of range and mobility is also a challenge, hence Nelson & Nobby. So I upgraded to Industrial last week and this is the team I'm going to try and complete the game with: Caesar, Barbarossa, Richard, Xerxes, Peter Nobunaga, Mocte Khalid All are now at level 6 except Nobby & Caesar who will be upgraded asap, and Bismarck at level 5 will be in reserve for when 2 arty are required - although I hope to keep his involvement to a minimum.

How has Xerxes worked out for you? Is he viable at all in the endgame?

I used to play with some generals with plunder and one good thing about it that you can really balance between success and failure quite for a long time.

How has Xerxes worked out for you? Is he viable at all in the endgame? I'll let you know in a few weeks It'll all depend on how much of a difference plunder makes. When I used him in FFE2 - anti-France Alliance yesterday that was the first time for a while. I think the last time before that was on GN - East India Company for 1*, or somewhere around there. The main reasons being that he loses plunder around level 2 or 3 before regaining it at 6 and you just don't get to use 8 generals all that often, and he's usually only going to fill the 8th slot. So in theory, he should be more useable in the latter stages than mid-game, but it's only a theory right now...

I completed Osaka today. As we know Osaka is a pain in one soft place for various reasons. Besides I don't have generals who are good in this type of missions (Nobunaga, Suleiman, Caesar)... But after some equip/unequip experiments I was able to get Keel boots finally...

I only have 16 stars in Osaka and I'm at Meiji Restoration 2; my progress is suddenly feeling very sloth-like after your and Kev's recent exploits!

Yeah, Vancouver is of no interest to me at the moment... As for campaigns, my answer is "no" Far from it, actually. I only completed Gunpowder age campaigns recently. So, your chances to beat me are relatively high It is a friendly competition after all

I don't mind finishing a short while after you but I'd like to keep it to less than a month Of course I had to try Osaka after seeing you'd done it already and now have 29*: that pesky trio of Genghis, Atilla & Suleiman proving to be a very tough nut to crack!

It always was a tricky mission... I would recommend you to use "triple rumor" strategy - Peter, Richard, Bismarck and Nobunaga. Try to attack them immediately and to place debuffs right from the start. It won't be done after a couple of attempts, of course, but the chance is high that things will go smoothly one day

I did finally manage it with Nobby, Mocte, Khalid & Jhansi though

OK, the race goes on I completed choice of the age. Amazingly easy with 2 Artillery commanders Khalid lvl 10 and Heihachiro lvl 8.

Since I’d like to try it out one day with something like Khalid, Heihachiro, Li Shimin, Koxinga and Cleopatra as the core. With several other generals for support purposes. I don’t think it’d work too well until industrial and I’d probably have to use other units until then, but it could be fun.
