Hi guys Bock here, I have started playing Rome Conqueror for about half a year now, and it has been a blast! I have been following the free to play general guide in the pinned section, so far so good, until yesterday. Yesterday I finally gathered enough metals to get Pompey HE IS A BEAST! So along side with Drusus and my own infantry commander, I grinded all the way to the third battle in the conquest of Britan. But now looking at it, I'm have 2 infantry and one archer general, but I lack a calvary general. Is a calvary general useful? Anyone have some good general suggestions? or should I get someone else? please send help

Pacorus I is a nice starter. The best are Arminius and Huo (powerhouses) and Anthony (probably the fastest cav gen outside of Commander).

Yes. Imo the list goes this way
Anthony > Arminius > Commodus > Huo > Tiberius > Scipio > Pacorus > Varus > Everyone else.
Anthony is superfast and will decimate enemies due to his cavarly commander skill if given good items like the golden spear. Arminius has possibly the best skill set of any cavarly general, but has a bad talent. Pacorus is super cheap and very good for his price. He is a must have, and you’ll see why when you get him. Commodus, Huo, or the others mentioned above can later replace pacorus as the 3rd cav later in the game.

Sorry, varus is also pretty good for his price. But I don’t recommend getting him as pacorus is much better.

Interesting question. IMO, you do. There are many times when a good cav gen is used to decimate enemy hordes, especially inf hordes. And in Campaigns with very less starting troops with very limited variety, you'll be forced to deploy someone on the starting cav unit. Anyways, since you're usually given 1 starting cav unit, why not exploit it?

Woah I also thought Pacorus was a infentry general, but how good is he, the f2p guide also mentioned him, does he deal lots of damage or something? Although I wish to get a at least silver tier calvary general, I might consider him as a choice.

Cheap choice with a good Talent (it gives him a permanent morale boost, no matter what) and relatively high number of atk points in his specialisation (7 for cav). Guerilla is a great skill for cav if you overlook its trigger probability. Raid is average. For more info on him: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/11182/pacarus

They deal a lot of damage but are expensive and can die quickly. I’d say go for it, arminius with a laurel crown will consistently hit like a nuke

He's a speedster and is optimised in Conquest. Still a good choice if you want to sacrifice some firepower in exchange for speed.

Anthony is better than arminius imo. He is super fast, super strong (with a golden spear), and has cavarly commander, which is rarely found on good cavarly generals (other than anthony and hannibal, varus is the only exception and he is far worse than pacorus). He will make conquests and certain campaigns much faster, but he also loses hp very quickly as well so he’ll be a huge cash dump. I recommend him as your first

Cavalary general is a must.
A good cav general can decimate archers and are very mobile.
Like others said in this thread, each gen has is unique way of being good. I for one, have focused on golden gens.
I have 4 cav gens in my final 12 gen line up; Antohny - very fast and strong overall Arminius and Huo - exelent damage and skils overall Scipio - decent gen also.
I suggest to chose between Anthony-Huo-Arminius. They may be expensive, but will not dissapoint !

I have never heard anyone on this forum complain about anthony being bad (kingbutawl does not like arminius).
