Aosta

Duke of Aosta is way better imo, and Bacon is unneeded. Why?
Bacon: Starts rank (pathetic), and will require ~20 silver medals to get him to that rank (which you will run out of eventually). Can reach emperor but getting a naval general to emperor seems to be a giant waste as the majority of damage naval generals take is from fire. Plus its a naval general come on.
Aosta: starts at prince, the ideal max rank for a navy general. You can immediately give him level 5 skills from the get go, and he won’t need much time for training. Furthermore, if you decide not to give tactics master to aosta (for skills such as navy commander and escort in order to be able to split your navy as an example), duke of aosta will be much better as alert is a much better than tactics master.
Overall for me, there is absolutely nothing that bacon offers that duke of aosta can’t do as well. The main difference is that duke of aosta makes up for his expensive price by saving you tons of silver medals and training effort, whereas bacon starts at a painfully low rank making him a huge pain to train up. Which really isn’t worth it either as we have strong free generals like looof anyway.

Definitely the reason why i might get Reggie Bacon and Aosta. I need both for history mode No reason not to. But i would not invest too many silver medals into bacon then. Maybe to marquess rank. Because he is still worse than aosta |
