I’ve completed the American campaign and am halfway through the French one so I’m planning to buy my first General. I’ve seen the general discussion thread but I’m still having trouble making up my mind. Who should I buy? Also, I’m planning to get Victoria for completing the Battle of Chesapeake with three stars(for getting the 300 medals reward) . Should I do that? And should I sell her afterwards?

Ney. Murat if you can manage him. The only problem with Ney is that you need to sell him in case you want to use less than 4 cavalry generals, but 4 cavalry generals is a totally viable strategy anyway.

Absolutely not. She’s totally useless for most missions and dies way too fast in naval missions. And she can’t deal good enough damage to compensate for that since enemy admirals will be packing Alert+escorting later on in the game. |

Buy ambulances and tents for the free generals, and then get murat. You’ll lose only 180 medals this way from upgrading Falsen and Gates to 35% hp. Murat is far and away the best general in the game and will easily carry you very far by himself. |

When should we sell the free generals? I have massena and murat as my chosen first 2 generals. For me, it's when you run out of space. Selling them doesn't provide resources. If you can and need to, keeping and deploying a somewhat usable Jourdan around is better than nothing. |

I cant buy slots more than the 8 available slots, so It is not available to have more than 2 cavalry generals: Murat and Davout... But I have 3 infantry generals: Massena, Bismarck, and Archduke Karl is that good?

I would sell it for Alex, John or Sophia. As for your team, I would say that 3 cavalry generals are more useful than 3 infantry generals. Maybe you can sell Bismarck for Lan or Dabrowsky My team: Murat, Dabrowsky, Lan, Massena, Karl, Mahmud, John and Nelson. |

I went for murat and dabrowski first and with these 2 alone + items (ambulance + pistols) i managed to complete napes 1812 - allowed me to unlock lan. These 3 are the best generals. Then you can get massena who will be good with karl. Then buy mahmud and alexander for artillery. But i would just focus on cavalry because they are so much stronger than infantry or artillery. |
