Hi guys, I've recently tried to buy my third snare drum but it isn't available in any campaign shop. I'm quite sure to have bought mines one from Charlotte and the other from Imperial eagle (I don't remember which mission but already checked them both). I'm also sure that I havenβt sold not even one, so what do you think, is it normal? What do you reckon should I do? Thx

The shops in Danzig an Krakau sell the same snair. Player friendly, if you have overseen the shop in Danzig, the shop in Krakau is on your way. Snair #3 and #4 are only aviable from the daily shop. I added a note, thank you for your posting James Macdonell, and enjoy the board.

The big difference for me after playing through a few times is how useful the rank and nobility items are. I'd put them in the third tier after the general use items (snare, war horse, armored carrier) and +2 move items. The big reveal for me was that even with 4 slots, your generals don't get near max level without serious grinding.
You lose a ton of medals by regrouping, so wait until you have your final team before trying to improve rank and nobility.

You lose a ton of medals by regrouping, so wait until you have your final team before trying to improve rank and nobility. Shure, regrouping into non-final generals is not a good idea. Medals and experience are lost, and on a non-grindng game you probable feel this loss (letΕ say 400-500π) untill the final battle. I remember good, how long I could feel the missing 200π for a missinvestment in Duomirez instead Agha. I believe training Sophia is the most common missinvestment. I knew it before, so I bought a slot to keep her, but I spend xxxxπ just for training Sophia. On a normal play this requires grinding for medals. I regrouped my maxed trainer into the final princess, so they start with 110/8 (+80%/80%). After 30 mins they are on 125/10. Especially the Nobility of 10 is a gerat help in conquests (exchange and health). On War and the Crown are useful items. So useful, that I buy them even in the dayli shop. (like +6 att items and all snair drums I get offered)

You only can buy two snair drums in the campaign. The snair of Danzig is the same snair that you can buy in Krakau. I added a (probably too small) note. The other two snairs, you only can buy in the daily shop. Enjoy the board

IIRC the rank and nobility items give 100%/50% bonus respectively?

IIRC the rank and nobility items give 100%/50% bonus respectively? That the crown give 4x nobility I recored before. For the reference I read the game-values and reduced them by hundred.

3 questions: 1: When an item says +6 supply or +4 artillery defense or damage. What do I see of those numbers in the game +4 defense is -4 damage done? And what in the world is supply? More food when standing on farmland? 2: So if there are 2 snaire drums in the missions to buy and I see one in the daily shop, could I then own 3 snair drums? If so, are there items so rare or good that when you get them in your daily shop you just have to buy them? 3: Can you use a business stars general in daily shop? They kept this grey area reserved for it I believe

They kept this grey area reserved for it I believe 1. Supply is health regeneration. I don't know exactly how defense is calculated but it's not as in your example, it's all factored in in the output formula. 2. Remember that you can swap items even during campaign/conquest, so one snare drum is enough (get two when you are in the later parts of the game and you can afford it). And I suggest you only buy items when you have a general with 5 business stars. 3. No, you can't add any general in the shop, those prices are fixed, so I suggest you check our ew4 library thread for info on where to buy items in campaign (and, as I said, only when you have a general with 5 business stars).

Hi mandemakers, + defense or + dammage are part of the Dammage calculation for each fight. Supply are health points you recover each round. (Like the nobility points that generals have). 3+2) You only can get a discount in the shops of the campaign. The daylie shop sells only for the +20% price. we don't know which Item the daily shop offers. It can be out of the campaign or a shop exclusive item. I personally buy the top-items (+6 attack and snairs) if I get them offered in the shop. The table has the locations ordered, so if you are one or two missions away from the shop selling an item, it pays out to play these missions first, buy the item in the campaign (with discount) and look, if the item of the daily shop disappears. With a 5* trader, you can buy and sell items in the campaign without loss (renting items) they go back to the shop where they came from.

With the maximal counterattack, you can gain fast enough Dmg to earn additional chevrons and recover additional health. For my fast playstyle I prefer having 3, or better - all 4 snair-drums. Items add (or remove) Dmg flat! (Factorized with the unit restrain factor) So a +6 Atk item is better than 2 additional general stars!

Thank you! One more question: If I put an item on a general? Can I get the item back so that the general has 2 free item slots again and I can put my item on some other general or back in storage?

This was the valuable hint blueberry added: Yes !! Item swapping is one of the most important tactic in EW4: Usually you use the war-horse and a +1 or +2 movement item to bring your general in position, then you change items to get a good attack. Swapping items make them so valuable. IE: You just need one (expensive) war-horse for your headquarter.
