1806 France guide
Please don't quote this post.
France 1806 and 1809 needs a (new - is there one?) guide - I will complete this briefing and I will Include the valuable optimizations by littlecorporal to get finally an all-purpose-guide.
Every help and addition is greatly appreciated
I'm actually playing this conquests with different teams to make it suitable for all setups, and as they share many similarities I will add tips for both conquests.
In front:
The way to win these conquests is different!
Not primary speed - Finishing with a full stock is our goal!
Rxx - R32: 900 years
R33 - R38: 850 years
R39 - R43: 800 years
..complete list
Because we need to exchange in the last rounds to buy 🔧 and avoid losses, a 5⭐ businesses general is indispensable for 1806,
1809 you have 4★ Bernadotte using him can somehow help, but you will loose too much to get really high scores.
(requirements finished)
We finish the conquest when the stock is full! This will be usually around R32+ and gives the best possible score!
Building troops will even delay this!
Troops that don't work up to R30 are a missinvestment, so no useless spammimg!
Frigates only if necessary!
1806 Strategy:
Heavy fighting from round 5 to 10 - we need to exchange 🔧! 5 rounds later it becomes smooth, 5 more, the moop up starts.
The battleship and the Artillery from Marseille send direct to occupy central Morocco. They will arrive together. After taking the stable or the factory, we use the artillery to occupy Rabbat City.
The western two frigates siege Tunisia. Build in Ajacco cheap infantry in R2 or R3 to occupy Tunis.
Villeneuve and the frigates build in R1 a line and pull the British navy into the channel.
Hide the privateer two hex down of Brest.
The light Infantry from Nantes we move close to Brest for additional flanking if possible. (They will be the preferred target for the British - build bunker)
After defeating all British ships and talking the port (leave it undefended, but in reach of a frigate, as long the coastal fort exists.
Villeneuve and the rest head to their next mission: controlling the Irish sea and giving landing support to our invasion troops.
The light infantry from bruxles, the guards from Paris, Sebastian and Artillery will defend, with additional danish sea support, the Nederlanden against the British invasion waves. Build bunker and trenches and defend the coastline. Fight defensive, Britain will temporary occupy the port, but after R10, Britain lost al troops of their offensive. We take the port and start our invasion to Britain from there.
After defending the Nederlanden we build two frigattes as support and land close to Leeds with our generals. We take the stable and factory and head forward with our generals to occupy Ireland. Villeneuve will help from the Irish seaside.
The two north-sea frigates we send, without coming in range of the coastal fort, to siege and occupy the port of Edinburgh. A new light cavalry will occupy the empty city after our bombardments from the port.
London was one of the last British spots - Wellesley needs a massive attack from many units to be defeated. He will destroy every Artillery you build in the factory of London. ** what happens if undefended ? **
If you have the Napoleonic Code:
This is the main battle and it always developed different:
My main tactic: I follow and support my allies wherever I can. Most times I got Berlin before Vienna. With a good start Dresden probably won't fall. Dresden can be helpful if you don't have any fast generals - see the Tavern section.
After getting Berlin, I built in the following three rounds small forts close to berlin. This will focus all the heavy responses of Prussian and Russian troops. Without taking damage we eliminates all what can be dangerous with our artillery.
I will test it more, but I think Berlin is the right direction for France. Netherlands, Denmark and Rhine will attack Berlin early...*tbc*... Our goal is to have Berlin in R10.
--- 1806 strategy end ---
The Factory of Brunswick is a primary target for Prussia. (Bluecher, Scharnhorst)
Prague is target for Russia. Russia will attack Berlin. If it falls.
Ottoman attacks Vienna in R13, until R20 it should be french.
The enemy generals:
Bluecher will ditectly try to attack your general. We can plan this:- leave him one hex without evasion and flank this hex - he will go there - his first attack will be painful also for him and on your turn, starting with Napoleon, one combined attack finishes this risk immediately.
Scharnhorst - his attack can be very painful - needs testing: sometimes he remains close to berlin, or he comes to attack. The first attack of Lanes
Radetzky will remain on his hex with high evasion until Brynn falls. (-or- R15? -)
the troops from Vienna we move all constantly east - they will in the last rounds be needed for the Russian coastal forts at the black sea.
Napoleon's final destination should be
Odessa.
Lannes heads to Kiev and NE.
The only general that is really necessary is a 5⭐ trader. His route is important: he has to be close enough to enter Berlin or Vienna at least in the round after we occupied the capital. If you have nobility 10 generals they can do (only) this first trade (selling 2🔧=10💰) instead.
Before 🍖 or 💰 runs over 9999, he has to be in one of the trading points to conquer Copenhagen, Berlin, Minsk and Vienna.
I used Arnold and Lan. Minsk is close to the last battles. With Arnold I could finish even Copenhagen.
France has with Paris and LeHavre two taverns from the start, but generals show up there too late for us. Taverns of our enemies to conquer are in London, Warsnav and, if Rhine looses the city, in Dresden.
Thanks to the strategy of littlecorporal we land north of London and take the capital as one of the last remains of Graet Britain. At this time we don't need anymore a Tavern general.
If Dresden falls, we will conquer it and have an option: In R8 comes Wilhelm III. 1 movement and 2⭐ Infantry and 2⭐ cavalary. On light infantry he can move 3 hex. If you are without fast generals, he will be useful, but very weak his only skill: defense art doesnt help! Be aware: after 2-3 fights he needs medication and the Russians always attack him if possible. We can hire him after having an exchange and all urgent upgrades done.
Warsaw is defended by Alexander, don't waste time with your faster generals to defeat him - We flank with small forts and bombard him with all artillery on their way east. Kosciuszko is the general I recommend. He comes also with gaiters, so he can move 4 hex on light infantry, and his Mass fire - useful.
Kollowrat: If you have a cavalry close, he can maybe useful due to his geography skill (the only one). Building a unit for him will be too late and his price is also so high that he can't get my recommendation - not useful.
Two tavern generals I joined.
The beginning seems slow and missing 💰 Is the first concern. Around R12 I can afford to build an AC for Sakurako. So easy - unbelievable!
We will need a few medikits to keep Napoleon! and Lannes always over 50% health! Fight wisely with them, we need them 35 rounds.
One different tactics I use in my last 1806 conquests:
I kill all troops I can. Once the economy of an enemy is harmed, this forces the AI to build defending troops in this utility and no forts! The new troops will be quickly only Militaria and Light cavalry/artillery - all are one shot kills with the AC. A kill-to-go and I head forward with my fast cavalry, leaving the undefended city behind. Even if the AI still can build again a new troop, this will be no problem for my following main army. I didn't had any "fort-spam".
Why to finish with a full stock?
If you can't finish within R31: from R31-R38 the required resources raise on average! 3840 (960🔧) this is with exchange exact
When you can save more - finishing later gives a higher score - until your stock is full.
France 1806 will have >2200💰 ≈600🔧
You can call it an coincidence - I think it's the key explanation:
The exception is Round 31! - Here you get the same higher bonus like in R30
... and it adds 100 required resources extra.
Stretch the raise to R30 makes the steps of 832.5🔧 exact the raise from R30-R45 (finish of recording)
All numbers easy explained...
please comments!

Iberia:
send from R1 the MG and two infantry from Clermont and Lyon vs Portugal. I try to steal some utility from Spain on my way. The factory at Madrid is perfect if empty. I always save before, but I never got problems even stealing two utilities from Spain. There we build later some suppory to defeat Portugal. You will need Sea support from frigates you build in Rabbat.North africa:
The Mediterranean fleet we separe in 3 groups; The western frigate and privateer have to take Rabbat - an easy job. In Rabbat we build frigates to attack Portugal from two sides.

Prussia and Austria
If you have the Napoleonic Code:
move your Artillery general in R1 to Paris, in R2 to Nantes and follow your main front. A short extra, but it will help a lot, and you still arrive in time.
All other units we move together with our generals through the passing vs Dresden. This is the main battle and it always developed different:
