Hi,I completed the first campaign, "Civil War" and now I started to play "Attack of Eagle". I do have Stonewall Jackson,Ulysses S. Grant, Philip Sheridan and David Farragut so I didn't bought any generals so far.I have 600 medals and full tech of second campaign.I feel like I need an artillery general,I have just enough for getting Hotzendorf but I'm not sure if I should buy him or wait for Ivanov.Any recommendations?Oh I also have a Ambulance Coach and M1917 Enfield for Ulysses,I feel like I should use the ambulance for Stonewall but I'm not sure.

I personally recommend straubenburg or beseler as they are both the best of their class however ew:1914 is a really forgiving game so you can't really go wrong with options such as mcclellan, hindenburg, macmahon, sidney, and many more

eeeeef,So Beseler is better than Ivanov and Hindenburg? I would say beseler has the best damage dealing potential and the most beginner friendly of the three but that doesn't mean the other two are bad by any means they can still carry you far into the game quite effectively so it's up to personal preference

I also think you should get Beseler. Hotzendorf is a waste of medals as he's not needed in history mode and not one of the strongest. Eventually, you'll also need Hindenburg & Ivanov. After you get Moltke (free from 2nd mission of 2nd campaign), you can attempt Austro-Prussian war (history) to farm books and silver medals. You can buy Falkenhausen (coins only) if you struggle a bit in completing A-P war.
You may also buy MacArthur (coins only) so that you can attempt Cuban war (history). I used him as my no. 1 infantry general until I got Straubenburg.
A-P war and Cuban war are 2 of the easiest history campaigns to farm books and silver medals. I started farming when I was tackling chapter 2.
In general, use your ambulances on cav generals as they are your main fighting force.
