I don't liek that fact that his abilities are all over the place. One skill for forts, cities, or forests. He can't really "multiply" his abilities.

Model is good (free) but cannot stand most other infantry generals. Use him until you can afford Yamashita or Rundstedt.

This is probably the only Axis General I want to comment on. He was always my 6th option for land battles and probably quintessential to me perfectly clearing the game esp. for 44 and 45. He would always be on a Pioneer and then a Taurus Corp at the front building radars everywhere and his defense more than made up for it. 4 Stars  |

The single most underrated general in the game and the only reason Yama/Rundy is not your first gen. As good a tank as Messe and almost a paratrooper like Student. Is present in two lineups, and that is just his stars. He never loses any morale when in a city, which is where infantry is a lot, and when he is not in a city he gets damage reduction (significant on infantry) and a nice Jungle Fighting bonus. Strong infantry, perhaps the 5th best for the Axis.

Among free generals, I think he's 2nd (In Axis free generals) for his versatality, but maybe Messe is a bit better than him on tanks. 1st is Bock of course. |
